I have NEVER before in my life felt so negative about my country and the other countries in the world.

Both of these have been a total disaster.

I award the US and the World





On the plus side many of the banks have repaid the US back for their TARP loans so they can hand out UBER bonuses again.

I am hoping Americans will awaken from their Twinkie-induced stupor and realize big business runs Washington. It won't happen until things get pretty bad though.

I had "hope" this year but now all is lost as I've come to the realization that you my friend are correct.

The media runs Washington now. Big Business hasn't run washington in a long time, if ever. It's the media feeding the lemmings that BS notion that Big Business runs Washington.

I'll take an IPA, it will last through the armageddon better than that crap Belgium ****.

Is this thread spurred by Howard Dean calling the new healthcare bill "an insurance company's dream?" It sucks but there's not a goddamned thing that any of us can do about it. I've learned to quit stressing about things that are beyond my control. Just hang on for the ride.

Not true - what do you want to do? Storm the halls of Congress? I voted for Obama and now look at what he's doing - the same sh!t as GW. That more than anything made me realize that politics is so skewed by business that it will never recover.

I posted this in the lounge because I figured people wouldn't get into these long rants about who's wrong and who's right. Obviously I was correct and this thread is mostly about adult beverages which is exactly what I was hoping for.
