i believe you mean that you could not care less. if you could care less, then it implies a level of care greater than 0. not being able to care less implies your care is at the absolute minimum. you are welcome. :thumb:
thanks..deep down inside i care for everyone :D.

One of the dangers with being a cocaine or heroin user is that you get used to cut down **** and then you get some pure stuff (and don't know it) and boom your dead.

edit: Dunno if that's what happened here, but it's usually my first guess.

You all might be surprised at how many folks that you love are addicts in some way or another. How many folks that have met me here over the years knew I was an addict? I am sure they would all recognize I had a drinking problem. But a full on addict? I am. Just because I am drop dead gorgeous nobody should feel sorry for me either. Unlike DN nobody put the stuff up my nose or in my arm. I made my choices. Weak or sick doesn't matter to me. Someones loved one died, lets think of the ones left behind. Somebody loved her and now they are hurting...

I actually have a lot of sympathy for addicts, since I have dealt with several in my life.

One thing that I despite though is dishonesty. One aspect of fame is manipulating the image. Just see Tiger for example.

I don't know what happened with Murphy. She might have had a genetic weakness in her heart.

However, I am becoming a more astute media watcher, and when I see the signs of a manipulation and a lie, I am quicker to call it. I haven't been wrong yet.

The key with dealing with addiction is honesty, starting with yourself and your problem.

Awesome...some kind of hot redhead dies and in steps the wisdom of Ridemonkey to save the world. You guys are missing one key element in fixing addicts, she died. If they die, you didn't fix them. They are broken. The speculation from people is f*#king sickening to me. The media talks about someone and all of a sudden the gossip columnist lot of you seem to think you were their friends and know their problems. Non-compassionate bastards.

when it comes to drug addicts, then yes.
Someday someone you know and love will die due to being an addict.... When you feel as low as you possibly can. You might think about what you just said. Unless you're broken and heartless like me. Then you might not.... Hate can cosume you in ways you can never imagine.... Addiction is an illness not a character defect douchebag...

addiction is part of the persons genetics, i went to school with a guy who is a crack head, parents gamble like their is no tomorrow, sister is the town pump, other brother works 24/7 spends no time with family. the whole family is consumed with something, it rules their life..

I don't care. At all.

Unless she was Tiger's #17, in which case Mr. Woods is pencilling in an underserved birdie on the scorecard right now...

Haha, he is heartless like you. I am as well. I have had family almost die from cocaine use and heroin. Close family friends and friends have died or killed themselves from heroin. I could care less for those idiots and anyone who tries the $hit and then cries poor me because they stuck a fukking needle in their arm.

If you grew up in the USA and went to a school you sure as $hit had some type of drug program like DARE or whatever they call it now. Thay crap teaches you what can happen from hard drug use. Maybe watching Trainspotting when I was in highschool set me straight, I don't know? What I do know is that I don't give a fukk about junkies and thier issues.

i nearly married a girl who was a drunk who knew she had a problem but refused to seek help because she "didnt think it was that bad," but yet got smashed every night.
my best friend is/was a addict too.

if someone doesnt want to help themselves get better, then i dont give a **** about them. period.
i understand its "in their DNA," but people with addictions can be helped if they want to be helped.

i think we all have a certain level of elasticity when it comes to dealing with addicts, depending on past experiences and the addiction in question. some of us tolerate boozers, smokers, junkies, pot heads, pill poppers, gamblers, or any of a number of other types of addictions, as long as we aren't "bothered" by them at the time. like Rice, i got burned by a boozer and my tolerance for it dwindled. i still have some left, but it aint what it used to be. also, i take a look at myself in the mirror for a reality check from time to time; no need for a double standard when one will do just fine.

edit - almost forgot why i climbed up on this box. *ahem* i keep going back to the scuba diving safety analogy; when someone you are diving with is in trouble and in a state of panic, you can't swim in to help them until they have clamed down to the point of allowing you to help. otherwise, they will drag you down with them

that's why spear guns were created. I don't dive without one.
