The time has been and gone for this product, its all about super thin, super lightweight now, dont try and deny it, look at canfield, look at point1, Superstar, Nuke Proof, all releasing super thin, super light pedals, had these come out a year ago they wouldve been a huge hit, i would be running a set, but they just didnt

see I completely disagree, that is like saying fox missed the boat by not producing the first mtb suspension fork. There is always room for improvement on a product, i think we all agree a lower profile pedal is better but at what cost? Hell I have 2 sets of lo pros trail kings and twenty6...

To be honest the twenty6's are insane nice but they worry me for true dh, ill be running them on my am bike. I say if e.13 can spend a bit more dev time on creating an end all product (like their chain guides) then we all win.

light and slim is the way to go, no doubt...I am anxious for this guys to come out, i'll give them a go.

Superstar and Nuke didn't really design their pedals, they're just rebranded catalogue products. They are not bad but they didn't really design anything so comparing it here is a bit pointless as all they had to do is decide on the colour and order ;)

Perfect case in point. Just because a product was made first doesn't mean it will be the best. Fox took it's damn time but makes some of the best suspension available. Rush a product to the market just to be first doesn't mean it will hold up to the test of time. Reliability and well thought out products count for a lot more and should be better investments over the long haul.

Whats the point of an exposed spindle on a pedal? Aren't you just giving dirt more access points to the bearings?

I suppose it can only be to save a little weight? Maybe aesthetics too... I do think they are a nice looking pedal.

The .1s are horribly overpriced, IMO. I can get 3 sets of Kona Wah Wahs for that much $...

I have had my podiums since the 23rd they have been great. The seals are super tight at 1st and take a while to loossen up. They are light and grip well. This product is made in the usa , light, well made. What more can you ask. The only question I have is how will they hold up after a summer of riding. I think they will be great but honestly only time will tell.

Canfield Crampons however are the absolute business!

I got some recently.

Took them out for the first time the other weekend sessioning my brothers secret track which is a really tight, twisty, loamy run in the depths of Devon strewn with big granite rocks. Before I got these I was smacking my previous pedals (Easton Flatboys) several times a run on this course so I figured it would be an ideal testing ground. With these I had just one pedal strike all day!
This did give me a pin casualty though:

but it was very easy to replace as they screw all the way through and come with loads of spares!

They feel awesome! Really notice the super thin feel. People call these convex pedals but with the way I have my pins they actually feel concave. I use 5.10 shoes. Grip is just as good as with the Flatboys yet I found it much easier to place my foot in the right place and also easier to move around if my foot wasn't initially placed correctly. This is probably down to the outer bearing bulge. Although you can just feel it it's not a bad thing, it gives you a kind of fulcrum to move or place your feet and gives a really good feel for the pedal.

The platform is nice and big. Massive actually - the pin footprint is even bigger than the Flatboys. Really nice. There is just the right amount of friction in the seals/bearings to stop them spinning freely so they always seem to be in the right place when getting your foot back on.
Here are some more pics:

They're amazing! I really really like them. They feel sturdy, light, grip perfectly, nice and low and give noticeably better ground clearance and pedalling. I rate them highly and reccommend them to anyone wanting something like this!

For those that care about weight i measured them on my (highly accurate and calibrated) work digi scales and they weighed in at, with pins, 378.78g for the pair.

so my only concern is that the axle is really venerable on the canfields it looks like you either already hit (or almost hit) the axle on a rock. That doesn't seem very safe if you put a gash in the axle. if it starts to rust and/or fatigue at that spot then the axle could fail. Ultimately that's why i went with the podium pedals. the body covers the pedal enough to protect it. and its still at thin as the bulges on the canfields, actually maybe thinner because the canfields have really long pins compared to the podiums.

actually, just out of curiosity what the over all length of the pins?

love the new thin pedal options nowadays!
