So, in the market for a new XC lid & saw the Urge Enduro helmet in the December Dirt Mag. Can't seem to find anything about them or anyone who sells them online? Any Monkey's out there have a lead for me?? Looks like a nice helmet with a bit of added protection.

Cheers,
Stu

Hello! I will be riding with Urge helmets for the Nordic importer 2010.

The information I have been given is that Urge are shipping products during Jan./Feb. so they should be turning up pretty soon.

Check out: http://www.urgebike.com/ and send them a mail, not sure they have any US sales reps yet. They also list some dealers whom you can get ahold of. :)

Intenseman, how you liking yours so far? Visor looks a bit flimsy, is that the case? Yeah Butch, the visor does look a bit under designed, maybe I could tack a trimmed TLD on there ; )

just got me a down-o-matic. M Size (was wearing M/L TLDs)

- better fit with the Leatt brace.
- profile very similar to TLDs: Nice ;-)
- very good venting
- good build quality.
- Composite Fiber material (a plus there!+)
- something different
- got a super deal on it

on the subject of the visor, i think its quiet well built. it'll take the hits without breaking, unlike the TLD version. Its very flexible and still retains the stiffness required to direct the airflow into hte generous top vents.

have a look at the detail of the vents and you know there was a lot of thought that went into designing this helmet.

I'm liking it especially with the better fit for my Leatt brace and I will but the Endur-O-matic when its available here in Tropical Malaysia.

Kind of a thread dig here, but im looking for some info on the Down-o-matic.

Since im in Canada and so far I cant find any dealers within the country or North America for that matter, is there any online retailers that are selling the helmet?

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers

Got mine yesterday, check it:

I used to sport D2 and later a THE One helmet. I used a Med/Lg. for the D2 and the Med. for the THE helmet. The Urge helmet I got is size L/XL and it fits just fine. Headsize 58cm.

Really good fit by the way!

Edit: A great big thanks to BikeToyz for having my back with this. :D

Any word on US distribution Id like both the endur-o-matic and the fullface...????...
To all:

THE man in the states to contact about URGE products is Jason Schippers:

jason@southshorebicycles-usa.com

Besides being the USA presence of Royal Racing, Jason is the exclusive distributor of Urge helmets and Brake Authority disc brake pads and rotors in the U.S.

A bit more information here:

http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3537145&postcount=27

If the name sounds familiar, that's because Jason is the former product manager for the Sunline bicycling line. When SixSixOne divested itself of Royal, Jason became part of the new Royal ownership. He's an awesome guy, a fellow DH racer and he truly deserves your business and warrants your consideration.

I dont know if its personal taste but I liked the look from the first time I saw Fabien wearing one in a vid over a year ago. I see CRC has them in stock which is great news. I was about to pick up a THE but I may have to rethink.

For those that have one, I did a search and found information that each size comes with 4 pad sets to alter the size. Is this true? I have a Remedy in XL which is very lose now the pads are worn in. I have added my own thin foan strips on the shell inner and it has helped alot. I found the 2010 D2 in XL to be a good fit but the mouth guard too close to my mouth. The L THE was too small.

Redride - you say the M D2 fits like the M/L Urge. This makes me think the Urge is small. Maybe you can help with the additional pad information?

Rhubarb: The Urge is a bit on the small side, if you have a head in excess of 61-62cm circumference you will have a hard time to make it fit well. At least this is the case with the 2010 M/L.

Cheers for that! I have never actualy measured my head, I only know I have to XL on all helmets. The Remedy is on the lose side even with new pads it feels good but on rough terrain it moves enough to be an issue. I will measure then have make a decision. Can you confirm the xtra pads for custom sizing?

Each helmet comes with the smaller set off pads installed and a second larger set on the side.

2 sets.

Sicklines recently did a review.
