They re-established racing in the area.
They brought a series back after the demise of WIM to be sure; but let's not forget that that when the patient was completely DOA, Tim Arnold at Bicycle Butler in Spokane stepped up and hosted the ONLY downhill race in the whole state of Washington for two seasons before the other efforts kicked in.

I know nothing of that. I never did anything in eastern WA. Never did a WIM race. Only the CPR's and the very early Port Angeles events...."Olympic meltdowns"....I think they were called.

Putting together a Schedule without 2-3 conflicts every weekend is impossible on the East Coast. This year instead of working around everyone we put our schedule out first and letting everyone else work around us.

Plattekill's 2010 USAC Championship Series Schedule as released last November:

* May 22/23
* July 3/5
* Aug 22/23
* Sept 18/19
* Oct 9/10
* Late Oct - "Last Chance for Glory"

Please stay tuned to our website for any updates/changes/additions.

A few very "Special Events" will be announced shortly.

What's supercross?

On a side note did anyone catch that Dirt Bike race on TV this past weekend?
It was pretty cool, they had whoopedy whoops and really big lippy jumps too.
This read neck named bubba won, it was fun to watch.

There are no Fluidride Cups in Port Angeles this year. All FR Cups will be held at Mt. Hood except for one at Schwietzer. www.fluidrideracing.com
You are correct sir, I was given a 2009 FRC schedule i think?

And just to be clear, i have no issues with the Fluidride guys at all. I know they set their race series long in advance.

As far as I am aware, and someone correct me if i am wrong or something has changed, the GRT is simply an amalgamation of current existing races with a properly organized points structure etc.

My questioning/issue is if this is correct, and last I heard it was, why couldn't they have selected another PNW based Fluidride event? (Which made more sense when i was given an old schedule of course).

I know people who are coming to the GRT so they CAN watch supercross. A bunch of us are driving back saturday after practice to watch it. it's only 2.5 hours. It isn't that big of a deal.

In the hills around Seattle
it's only 2.5 hours.
I keep seeing this being thrown around.
Last I remember it is ~1 hour from PA to the Edmonds* ferry docks, ~25 minutes of boat time (load-float-unload).
I could see 2.5 if driving around but why?

*EDIT I suppose it might be a few minutes longer to the Bremerton ferry? If taking the Brememrton ferry the stadium is within walking distance of the ferry terminal so save a few $ and gaurantee a spot on the ferry by walking on from the Bremerton side.

driving around just works so you don't ahve to wait for a ferry (or try to catch one) Walking on in bremerton might be the way to go though, then you don't have to find parking at quest.

on a weekend at edmonds, you would probally have to wait for a sailing or two, so that would really delay you.

Just drive from PA to either Bremerton or Bainbridge (either is just about an hour and a half) then walk across the ferry (they both dock within 10 minute walk to Qwest Field), go to your little minicycle thingy, then sober up on the ferry ride back and drive back to the peninsula.

So who's to say some of the SX dudes aren't going to skip out on Seattle to head out and watch the epic DH showdown at Dry Hill on sunday?

Just sayin...

Worlds at MSA this year need to be postponed until the following weekend as my 11yr old niece is playing her netball semi-final that weekend in Melbourne.

Are you kidding me?! Your niece's netball semi's are on the same day that my taxes are due. Can you post the link to the netball forum so I can complain?

Funny you should mention that. Liz took one of our cats to the vet yesterday. He's been constipated, so the vet gave us some stool softener for him. Now he has diarrhea. Poor cat can't get a break.
and now we're talkin about the consistency of cat poop :shocked:

nice thread

BTW, how the hell did you know your cat was constipated? Did he tell you?

do you have a covered cat box? did it ricochet around inside complete with old-timey western gunfight sound effects?
