I think it's pretty sweet. If it is what YOU want, who the heck cares what other people think.

As even if bikes turn into something no one here ever thought possible that does not resemble a current downhill bike, it doesn't matter. Tattoo's are all about what is going on in your life NOW. When you are 50, you'll look back at it and think something, what that is, no one knows, but it will remind you of your life right now.
oh for sure, i wanted it to represent this period in my life and when i was growing up.

that being said, i still argue that nothing extraordinary will happen to DH bikes anytime soon, minutes materials or suspension design. maybe i am a pessimist. thanks for the compliment.

with 30 lbs of backfat that's going to look like an Ent riding a chopper...

:D
aahahahahahaha. nice. luckily i think i am one of those kids blessed with the metabolism of a chipmunk. Ive been 145-150 pounds for about 7 years now. Only time I gain weight is when I work out. When i sit around watching TV, I get lighter... go figure... Im sure it will slow down at some point, but if you met me, I think you'd agree i dont have much to worry about. Im just a skinny, wiry ****er.

My brother owns the place and his oldest daughter is one of the best artists in the house. I remember when he had the ghetto original shop.
that was where i would have gone, if Total Heckler hadn't referred me to Flip. I didn't want to get it done at a big shop. Eights and Aces is just one guy, its very intimate and personal, more my style. But I have a lot of friends with Staircase work and its magical for sure.

I get all my work done at a local shop here in San Jose. The artist is amazing, and hooks it up as I've been going to him since 6 months after he finished his apprenticeship.

But I might have to hit you up for some tattoo-hook-ups.

I shall name drop... oh yes, I shall name drop.

James was better at stereos :D

There used to be a VW Bug running around SC that was one of his first projects after moving there. Everything was controlled through the alarm remote. It was the first car that was totally remote.

He builds a mean chopper, too. If you've ever seen his Road King, it's sick. I have the issue of Iron Horse that featured his old Panhead and the old shop.

I think it looks great. For my first tattoo I went with something a little less ballsy, a bike on my collarbone. Just like you wanted a "DH bike" and not anything specific, I just drew a bike (SS with drop bars, a design that will never change if it hasn't in 100 years). That's going to be sick when you're done.

You guys are hilarious. I still ride, I will ride for life... However, even if I never stepped on another bike, the tattoo would remain the same. Biking is what shaped me in my life, and thats what the tattoo is an homage of.

Anyways, I do ride. I just stopped racing for now and sold all my downhill bikes. I am an applied physics major in school, so bikes are taking the backseat while I enlarge my brain (doctor says the prostate is fine, LOL). Rocking my Specialized P1 right now, campus cruiser and dirt jumpers, staying off the trails. I still need one more color session on the tat and then its done. Very happy with it.

Also, why am I still seeing references to having a girl tattoo'ed on my back? LOL guys, how many times I got to say this, its my cat. My kitty cat. The other kind of pussy. She will always have a special spot in my heart.

PS. ****ING love the tramp stamp photoshop. Its going on Facebook.
