Lovebunny was nice enough to share a couple of bottles of the home brew him and his roomies made a few weeks back. He claims he has already tested it out and he is alive and suffered no ill effects...so do I crack one open or find someone else to be a guinea pig first?

Yes, but only once it becomes beer. If the bad bugs get in before the yeast take over things can get pretty ugly. However a quick sniff will tell if it has gone bad.
