hmm nice in a wierd kinda way. Loving the dorado up front was very tempted for one on my makulu but was a tart and went for colour coordination instead. Love to know how you get on with it as i have only heard reviews from people who haven't paid for full price for them

So my new 2010 Glory arrived and has pretty much coincided with my scaphoid fraxture healing up which I've been sidelined with for 4 months. First outing on sunday.

Mostly same stuff as on my 2009 Glory but now with some Boxxer Graphics as well as a few new parts

Still got to work out spring rate so it's a steel spring for now. Though with a friend wanting to swap his WC Boxxer leg for my Team leg and with a Ti Spring, maybe the bike will be too light. Guess I'll find out soon enough whether a 35lb bike is sketchy enough as it is.

-2010 Giant Glory Large Frame
-2010 Boxxer Teams
-Hope Pro 2's with EX 5.1 and Stans Flow
-Raceface Atlas FR Cranks with Gamut 36T C/Ring
-MRP G2
-Canfield Pedals
-Chromag Bars, Sunline Stem, Point1 Top Cap
-SDG I-Fly (stripped after large rip, will be replaced!)
-Micro I-Beam Post
-XT Short Rear Mech
-6sp Dura Ace Cassette
-XTR Shifter
-XT Brakes (Aztec Rotors)
-Aluminium and Ti Bolts apart from stem and rotors
I have always been a Specialed guy but I am loving the 2010 Glory. How much are the frames going for?

SO basically get a 18v battery and a coat hanger, pour a 2 litre bottle of coke into a plastic bin.
Take the positive lead and put in the coke, take the negative and ground the coat hanger with parts on it. Stick hanger into coke with parts on it totally submerged and wait.....
There you have a RAW ti ano line LOL.
Other way is a dialed controlled rectifier like a big train reostat for power input, I dont recomend this as its not a controlled enviornment but I do know guys that ano with the car battery set up for small aluminum parts and set up little dye tanks out of coolers... Seen alot of stuff :D
:D
Not that I have much interest in actually doing any of this, but those who are interested might find some good info here: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=68194

This is my DH bike, my XC bike, and my jump bike. I have a different set of wheels and tubeless tires for xc riding though. Downhill tires don't roll uphill worth a sh!t.

say what?! I couldn't resist...

you're waiting on another '10 Bxr WC to arrive and you've already got one that's going up for sale when the new one arrives? And on top of that, you're still expecting a 888 ti?!
do you really need to compensate for something that bad? little peter? lack of actual riding ability?
come on man be straight with us - what is it you're hiding?

some people...

sorry to detract from thread... Fonzie - amazing looking Flatline!

I hope they fixed durability issues those frames had as people had serious trouble with Sunn's CS so breaking them wasn't an option. Rumor says they've reinforced the frame a bit so it's good now but after knowing a few people with broken ones I kinda never regained my confidence in them.

Wow!
I can see grips, chain, chainguide missing. Anything else? What will the final weight be?

Anybody have any idea how to remove thick powdercoat or bed-liner like material? Sent my frame off to get soda-blasted and the guy tried soda and then sand(the soda wasn't doing the trick), neither worked. He recommended using heat, but I'm not to keen on heating up my alu frame and than having it be as brittle as a pretzel(the hard kind)..

look again:) only thing missing is grips. Dont know the final weight but im hoping below 14kg for the complete bike. New tires will shave some weight, dont know exactly how much though.

aircraft grade paint stripper?
Yeah, I was gonna try that stuff. I didn't have much luck w/it on a trying to strip some old wheels(car wheels).. Anything more powerful than that stuff? I've read using a heatgun(to remove house paint) works, but don't wanna go to all the trouble and find out it's not gonna work either..
