Alright in that case, I'll stay where I am. Soul-skier was the deciding factor. I'll just get my ass handed to me by some young punk. 1 more year and thats it!

I bet Dan could not make 10 races fit in without conflict with other races. 9 is still really good, and quality over quantity anytime. Can't wait to see more details...

Agreed Quality over quantity

Should we start a 9 venue especulation list? assuming they are all different venues and none of the local mountains with regular series are participating except Blue..

..............mmm

So assuming Platty is out - how is that making the GES better?

changes my E speculation list to

Massanutten
Seven Springs
SugarBush
Highland
Attitash
Whiteface
Blue

Too many miles for my Toyota but I'll get there fast if my gas pedal sticks!

I'm pretty sure Wisp is off the calendar this year as well. From what I hear, things were a little iffy between the promoter and the venue. Also, did anyone else notice that Wisp was not USAC-sanctioned, as well? Pretty scary from a liability point of view, and if I had paid for a 3-day license, I would've been pretty creased.

i dont remember, but didnt someone chime in on this last year regarding that? like they rushed to get the paperwork pushed through at the last minute?
or was that another mountain?

Nope. Here's the official response from USAC when I asked about Wisp and Windham GES '09 Races:

Andrea Brunelli said:
. . . both of these races were not sanctioned in 2009. Wisp was a non-sanctioned event, but the Windham event was supposed to be permitted, but the promoter did not get the permit to USAC in time (so it was not permitted and not in the USAC database). Therefore these races will not show up for rankings. I am sorry about this. Please let me know if you have any further questions! Thank you for your email!
