I think the media attention is due to his sense of humour and style rather than ability to win races.

All the same he still rips.
No sh!t. Wyn finished 2 spots ahead of the Junior World Champ from a couple years back. Anyone finishing in the top 10 (hell, top 20) of a WC or national level race (in a country like NZ) is an absolute pinner.

The Rotorua track is sh!tball scary in places. Saw my first ever real DH race there on an earlier iteration of the track. It was scary then but now is just :eek:
This info would have been handy for me a month ago. I rented a GT force in Rotorua on my holiday's and decided to check out the DH track when it was wet. It was a massive waste of the ride up, because I struggled to "ride" down the course. It didn't help either that the Force is specced with a looong stem.

Little red riding huck & huckleberry hound are mint in the rain. 95 jumps top to bottom, can't go wrong :)

Have you ridden in the south island? The Rotorua track is tame compared to somewhere like Nelson or even some of the Christchurch tracks. A couple of the faster sections of the Rotorua track are a little bit sketchy, especially when they're greasy but not exactly terrifying

Macho response;
Yeah, yo momma. All your post tells me is you don't know what 'fast' really means...

Real response;
Yeah, he has... but he (and I) are old and scared (and scarred) so anything beyond a gentle slope with loose gravel is enough to constrict sphincters...

Haha! I did the same thing back in March 2009. Got my ass handed to me. Went back in June during the winter on my enduro, rode the Nats track and got killed even more. Ended up riding Little Red Riding Huck allll day. Not a bad holiday!
