EDIT: I like Argyle forks, and be careful with those tires - they blow off the rims sometimes.

Yo UI,
I'm riding an XL as well and run a Pike Dual air on it shortened down to 90mm. I work for Push Industries and have access to any fork out there and feel the Pike Dual Air is the best for a DJ application. You can set the pressure upwards to 190 psi and the Motion control has a killer lock out that gives just enough for when you make a mistake if you like your fork super stiff. And it will run forever!

Love the raw BTW! Sick bike!

most of the pikes have u-turn travel adjustment down to 95mm, thats what mines set at now and rides golden

But the dual air doesn't have u-turn. The solo-air uturn is 110-140. The dual air is set at 140 but can be shimmed down to any length but only from push apparently.. I too would like to see a guide for it. Or does it require replacing all of the internals? It can't be the alltravel spacer kit because that only works with solo-air.

Lowering any Rockshox Dual-Air fork.
Drop the lowers, pull the spring side, add spacers available from any bike shop. Re-Assemble. Easy! #14 here.

Lowering solo-air(argyle).
Pull the lowers, insert a different looking spacer. Reassemble. here #15

Lowering all forks that can be lowered is the same- stick a spacer onto the shaft of the desired amount you want to lower them.

An 08 or 09 4x over an Argyle anyday. V-digit I should have never sold Dave my 4x.
Better yet pony up for an 08 and up Fox Float 36 rc2 lower it to 80 or 100mm and have the best fork, period.

If you want I have a Manitou Gold Label 2 80mm with brand new sherman urban camo lowers and seals. $200+shipping it is as good as new.

UI,

I have the 454 Dual Air 140 and so do 3 others here at Push but the main differences between the models is weight really. We are running them anywhere from 85mm to 95mm and it's super easy to lower so just give me a call at Push and I'll go over it with you if you want. One of the many awesome things about the Dual Air is the travel adjustability and being able to set the spring rate to what works best for you.
The Air U-Turn does not lower enough for that frame unless you put a Reba 85-120 U-Turn assembly in it.

UiUiUi...how tall are you? Have you been able to get anytime on the Charger XL? I'm thinking about getting a Superco, but just want to make sure I get the right size.

i am 6'3" and the XL feels great, still except for a few rounds around the house and up and down some curbs i wasn't able to ride it all that much, the snow just started to melt

Nice bike, but that chain device detracts heavily from the appearance. Can you put a half-link on there and shed the extra machinery? Might be a good chance to try out a phantom chainring.

Edit: On topic. UI, that's a bomb-proof fork. I say run it. Pull the springs and use the air if weight is your concern. You can lose the thru-alxe QR, too. Paint it purple, why not?

I am so pleased with the reliability of the Marz forks from that era. I dread the day when I have to buy something else.

Hmmm I am wondering if the regular size will be too small. I'm the same height as you. If you get some more time on it, let me know what you think.

Any one else riding the normal size that is over 6'2"? Thoughts?
