Towing the party line.
So I'm in Bellingham dog sitting through wednesday. Anyone feel like showing me around some trails?

I have a Dh bike, road bike and trail bike down here, and definitely need to ride and then head for beers and watch team canada school the US.

Who's in?

"watch team canada school the US" - I'm sorry, did you miss the first game? It's lights out hockey with Miller.

As much as I want the US to win, and as damn good as Miller is, I don't know how long he can keep carrying them. They're a talented squad, but the Canucks are just deeper. We'll see what happens.

Yup, agreed. They dismantled Russia, the US is in trouble!
They kicked the living hell out of Russia, that's true, but they did it to a Russian team that played like sh!t. Nabokov looked very beatable, and though the Russians undoubtedly have a ton of individual talent, they didn't coalesce as a team. They were trying to make moves on Canada's blue line time and time again and not getting anywhere. I think the US would have torn them a new one too.

Take Joel up on his offer. He's a great guy to follow when I can keep up.

I don't know that I'm really much of a fan of Boundary, try the Big Mammas at Jalepenos, the burritos at Casa Que Pasa or Banditos, the sushi at Wasabee, the burgers at Bob's, the beer at Chuckanut Brewery...before giving in and going to Boundary.

If US makes through Canada's initial agression and US defense can settle in they have a good shot.....US defense is starting to look pretty stout IMO. US defense looks great on the guy's off the puck....leaving Miller to concentrate on the shooter. Frustrate then counter-attack......

Canada plays a way better game on their feet, with their hands and the pass and play.

Only reason us won that game is cause miller deffenetly out goaltended Marty. He is getting old.

If we had a ridemonkey canada VS US,now we are ****ing talking :)

Looks like this thread has been 'moderated'.

Anyway, Canada better win. If the U.S. somehow pulls it out, it'd be like one of the CFL's Roughriders (take your pick: Saskatchewan or Ottawa) coming down and beating the Saints in the Super Bowl.

P.S. U.S. over Finland 6-0 with 7:10 left in the first period.

-- I'm not sure how you could qualify this statement. Defense wins championships and right now the U.S.A has the best defense out there.

3-2 is alot closer then you would think with such a powerhouse. Come sunday it will be all stars and bars.

Ya could work. I got a great ride in today with lars and joel. I just have to see when the hockey party is with a few friends on Sunday.
Fair enough. FYI I have only been to Galby once...but my bike needs to see more woods.:thumb:

If you find anyone else who knows the trails and wants to ride, I can dig it.

EDIT: Blah...never mind, I just remembered I told a chick I'd hang out with her Sunday. Bummer too, would have been cool to meet the man behind the lens. If you're here Tuesday, I'll be riding Colonnade around 2pm if you want to check that out.

Saw Lars and some of te TBC guys out at the "secret" trails today. It's a bit on the sloppy side but still a gohod time. We might be headed back out there tomorrow if you wanted to ride. I gotta be home around 3ish, don't know if that would get you back in time for the hockey game.

Nice, I had to bail on riding today to get some work done. I may be in tomorrow, but I think I have a hockey viewing party with those guys around 3. will PM you in the morning?

Ya shoot me a pm whenever. I don't think we're gonna get out there today but if you're still around during the week at all we can figure something out. Tomorrow looks like it should be somewhat of a nice day...

Tomorrow may be a bit nuts, huge storm blowing in apparently. 65mph+ wind and driving rain? If it turns out to be a bust, PM me. I am close to the Galbraith Birch St. trailhead.

It poured this morning, then sun, then hail, now clouds. The ride is still on!

Anyone interested should drop me a PM asap. We are going to head over to the Birch street trailhead about 11:15 or so. Also, we could really use a guide so we don't get totally and completely lost as the trail map is more than a bit confusing!

Gracias
