check with orven, lovebunny etc they ride the SD area. Edgy, mandown, abstrakt, overthedge, w4s etc are all good peeps in Ncounty and so county LA orange county and know some good areas. If you want a fast single track thats 16 miles and is a blast hit san juan trail on the ortegas its a shuttle. No real big drops but HIGH speed and exposed edges its a blast to train on. In SD there truck, sunrise, and a couple of others not to be named that are good with some BIG stuff.

I'm off on the weekend for those dates. I know three trail systems. San Juan, Simpson Park, Vail Lake. Keep me posted what you want to do. Were possibly clones..

Hey Mike Fitz, you won't be upset after you bag Anderson TT, it is for real a bad ass system. The epitome of SoCal DH riding.

Some of the best trails out here, are muddy, sloppy, snowy, sandy, slimy. The trail that I know of that drains well is Iron mountain. Mike there is some Hike a Bike sections and some digging in on the climb up, but the decent is technical and deep. There are some sections better for trials bikes. I ride a slopestyle Haro, and I bag it. San Juan is looking alright, San Juan is alot of fun. I'll be showing OB1 the ride area on Wed/Thurs.

Later Fitz..

Thanks for the ride 2gungho. San Juan is an epic trail, and you are fun guy to ride with for sure.:thumb: Between the last third of San Juan, and the nice rock gardens of San Juan loop, I had a great day. It's too bad NC Mike ended having to bow out.:( But I'll bet he makes it out at some point.:D

Can you tell me how to get to that San Juan trail? I'd like to hit it this weekend. I'd be coming from SB county. Also, can you PM me the names of those trails not to be named? That would be awesome!

Ding, Ding...round 2. Fitz and I will be flying into San Diego together on April 29th. I'm staying for months. He is staying for a few days. We're looking for as many BIG BIKE runs as we can fit in. Climbing will just tire us out, and limit the DH we can do over the weekend. So who wants to show us some of those "private" dh training courses like we have out here?:)
