On the contrary for me.. I have sometimes found leftovers to be better tasting than the original dish... I have even gone as far as to cook something and put it straight into the fridge and eat it later... Am I weird?

Nope. I sometimes cook a HUGE meal on Sunday to have leftovers during the week...

Leftovers are a staple in our house. I do all the cooking, so I plan meals that will eventually be combined in a couple days to become another meal. Very rarely do my kids know that they are even eating leftovers. I've got my food use down to exactly zero waste..between reusing all that's in the fridge, composting things that can be composted and when the family finally refuse to eat that last bit of whatever my two dogs gladly mop up a plate in lieu of Old Roy and nothing at all goes in the trash.

I have found the trick to leftovers is to freeze them in meal form immediately. Nobody wants food that's been sitting around for two days. If you freeze it immediately and zap it in the mike, it never has a chance to get stale.

How much I like the leftovers depends on how well the dish re-heats.

I've never gotten into the cold-leftovers thing. I like cold turkey or chicken if I'm just grazing in the 'fridge but that's about it - everything else should be re-heated.

But in general, 90% of the taste for 5% of the work? Yes, please.

I'm waving. Can you see me now?
I myself will eat any cold italian food, bbq, mac n cheese, meatloaf, or chicken. Those are the best leftovers ever. However, at the moment my microwave isn't working so it gave way to last nights greek tragedy of a meal.

Cold porkchops after a night of drinking, nice greasy fried pork chops. Couple reasons

1, damn theya are good
2, you go for a bite, puke get it over with, and start to feel better
3, go for a bite, get the first peice down realize you were just being a puss and needed something to eat, move on withj your day
