...or a dual slalom bike. Of course, after seeing some of the earler pics of the DS course I'm curious how the final track will turn out.

The DH track, well that doesn't even qualify as a beginner track at most places.

It is pretty apparent who is new to the scene when you read through a thread like this. Sea Otter never was, or will be, an event that is about the course.

And yet what is awesome is when everybody races these Sea Otter custom bikes setup for "mini-DH", Peat or Mike King or Rennie, etc blast the field on their full on DH rig. :thumb:

You just don't get it...this is like the 2009 Worlds course; you have to run a different set up. There is no way you can compete on a full on DH bike......wait...uhhm, never mind.

And the gong show is on... photos and coverage start...now!

The storm saddle up top is a replica of what Jacy does for Sam Hill at wet races. They also have a more toned down version. They are seamless, one piece, and completely rubberized for traction. Team only for the moment, production later this season.

Troy Brosnan, remember that name.

SDGs new Storm mud seats, concept courtesy Jacy Shumilak and Sam Hill. Completely rubberized, traction strips and no seams. Coming end of season to a store near you.

Jill Kintner has some sweet new end caps to match her name on the back of her jersey.

Even Cedric Gracias gets caught in practice traffic at Sea Otter. He just goes a bit higher to see where he is going.

Mick Hannah has a baby in tow and a very pregnant wife. Here he is serious about bringing home the mortgage payment.

The track at Otter can be a lonely (flat) place...

Neko qualified 17th in the Dual Slalom
He advanced to the last round of 8
He raced and beat Rando in the first round of the first heat.
He needs to beat him again to advance.:thumb:

Hannah just barely beat Gwin. It came down to like .05 sec. Gwin was just killing it!

Mike as an awesome guy! After getting much help over the years, I was able to throw back some cold ones with him at Vermont at one of the ol' after-parties, I believe it was in '05. He said he was going to retire after that season, but I guess the passion hasn't burned out yet.
