I think we're going to call it. There is still no cap for pro's but we met our amateur cap (or very close to it).

We have been working all day, for days now, and things are looking good. Lots of industry coming in the next couple of days.

I signed up but don't know if I'll be able to make it. Is it possible somebody could take my spot so a race space doesn't go to waste?
Just have your friend come to registration and explain it to us. If there is any confusion, have them ask for me.

Look to these pages for up to date tweets from Port Angeles' ProGRT this weekend. You don't need a twitter account to read most tweets. Especially, when they are embedded in another website such as Awesome Land.com.

Mike Estes' (Event Announcer) List - he has added people and sponsors that are involved with the event. Mike will be tweeting 'hot seat' updates and winners, plus general event info.

The Twitter ProGRT search - people using the hashtag #ProGRT in their tweets.

The Awesome List: these are the tweets I follow and they show up on the front page of Awesome Land dot com in a ticker format. Don't need Twitter to follow. I will be posting nearly live content from track side.

This isn't Freecaster, but you should be able to get all the details you may want from following those on the ground who are tweeting about the event. For example, I will be able to see from track side who won before I have to walk to the bottom to find out.

Scott Tucker and all those guys at NWCup have done a great job. The race should be epic.

I have a question about the cat 2 course: I know the top is rough, but the bottom loooks a bit more turny/ smooth. I'm thinking about bringing my 6 inch bike with dh tires just in case (along with my dh rig). Should I even bother? I know in years past the couse was much rougher than it looked in the videos.
Thanks
Scott

On the top section you'll be happy on a dh bike. Its somewhat rough and fast. Rest of the course is a toss up/ personal preference. It IS a dh track and a dh race afterall. Might be nice to have some pedaling ability though..

We're full. We reached our cap last week and only have room for the hoards of pro's coming out. We were inundated with people saying they didn't know about the cap, but our site and the posts on here and other places make it pretty clear. We would be stoked to let everyone race that wanted to, but we can't.

So this means, if you aren't pre-registered, and you're not in the pro class, you can't race this weekend.

Sorry

KT and Ryan- thanks for the input. I think one bike will be easier to deal with this weekend. One big bike, that is. :)

Got out to PA for the very first time (blasphemy, I know) and had a great time racing and spectating. Such a well run event and a really chill vibe. Having the big name pro's really added to the atmosphere as well, but didn't destroy the low-key vibe that ODS brings to things.

Serious props to Casey, Scott, Greg and the rest of the ODS crew who absolutely had their sh!t dialed all weekend. Great course(s) for racing and beautiful NW conditions had the tracks moist, but tacky on Sunday. Scott good to finally meet ya.

Thanks ya'll.

ODS knocked one out of the park for sure - mad-mad props!!! :thumb:
Too many highlights to describe, but I have some 500 video clips to go thru and edit, so I will eventually have some kind of offering from this weekend. Don't hold your breath, though!

That was only the 1st time to PA, EB??? I am truly shocked, but I'm sure you'll be back again...and soon!

awesome race weekend, we've got the best biking fans around . During Pro race runs it was going crazy. Here's some more footage of the weekend on blog.

Very nice!

I'm looking at a looooong edit of my own...once I get everything categorized/organized. Could be a two or three-part thing since I got well over an hour of footage from the weekend. Yay?!?:weee:
