Sam Adams LongShot barleywine.

Kind of mild for a barleywine...it's doesn't have that harsh bite that a good barleywine has. It's milder...a little more malty. A *good* bareywine ought to give you a "holy sh!t" reaction with that first sip. Not that this one is bad...probably more geared towards Sam Adams drinkers and not the beer aficionado that I am. :monkey:

Get off your damn pedestal. You've admitted before you're easy to please. :D

After your rant about SN being so awesome, and me claiming Deschutes was better, I had to pick up some Bigfoot. Hadn't had it before. I have to say, that is one thing SN can hold over Deschutes. It's good.

Deschutes still has a better stout, a better porter, and a better pale ale though. I'm not calling a winner on IPA, Torpedo and Inversion are both awfully good.

Whoa...are you saying that Bigfoot is better than Mirror Mirror?

No, but Bigfoot is ~$10 for a 6 pack, and Mirror Mirror's more than that for a single 22oz. Deschutes doesn't have an inexpensive barleywine.

represent yo.

Cup of tea for me.
Moved on to the Bundy Rum now, I'm not a fan unless it's OP or Bundy Black but hey it was already open, the best Aussie beer is Boags Premium or St George.

EDIT. wait wait wait, you won't drink Tooheys but you'll drink Blue Tongue, it's like a small scale Fosters, no one in Newcastle will drink the **** but it sells elsewhere. Blue Tongue=poop.
