Posted over on MTBR too. I desperately need people to ride and pack this trail down. Mandatory fun! ;)

The entrance and exit are still pretty rough, but the fun parts are ready to roll.

This is a black diamond trail located downhill to the right of the Big Tree Bikes Mini DH course (looking DH) and where the NE XC trail goes uphill next to it. There is a giant toilet bowl terrain feature back there. The Toilet Bowl trail loops back onto the NE uphill.

The entrance and exit are still pretty rough, but the fun parts are ready to roll.

It's been my personal side option trail project for the last year now. I've been just pecking at it here and there when I have time off from the more important trails.

NOW IS THE TIME TO RIDE IT AND PACK IT IN!
We need it packed in before the dry season hits. Once the base trail is packed, I will be going back through and finishing the rest along with adding as many stunts as possible. It is difficult to built the rest without knowing how fast it rides when packed.

So if you're looking for some new goods, please head out and session it a couple times. It is only a couple hundred feet long, but really damn fast!

Take a look before riding it. Ride it. Let me know what you think. I still have plenty of time to work on making it better. So far it has only been me riding it.

Here is a hard question for you, not that I really care that much, but

So how do you get to the trail head? do you have to ride the whole NE trail to get to it or do you ride the wrong way down the NE trail from big tree line?

I was just wondering this when I was checking out the trail, which was pretty cool, gets my vote for best berm in the park.

Take the Ryan's/Big Tree walk/ride up from the corner of the big clearing and it is just past the start ramp about 50-70 feet. Over with pretty fast and not as fast as it looks the first time dropping in. Pedal, pedal, pedal!

but that would involve going past a one way trail sign that say do not enter...

Huh? I don't see how that is possible. Unless there is a one way sign at the south (far) side of the start ramp now on NE XC which I guess I can see. We've all seen some insanely stupid people tricks out there. IF that is the case, Johan can just bring the start back to right across from the Ryan's/Big Tree start and cross NE XC there. It's not that far. The Walk/Ride up next to NE XC's end at Boot Camp should not have a 1 way sign though. Yes, there should be one at the end of NE XC though. Otherwise, the few feet past the start ramp to the Bowl should be no big deal.

The NE XC trail is a one way trail, if you go to the toilet bowl trail from the start ramp for ryans line/big tree your going the wrong way down the NE trail and yes there is a sign right there. Its not a big deal to me, its is only a few feet past the one way sign. I guess no one else has even noticed this.

All the trails are so good, amazing how the x/c trails are flowing now.

We could possibly just move the NE trail one way signs to just past the Toilet Bowl entrance.

I was originally thinking the riders coming up Big Tree and NE would ride it once or twice. It was not intended to be a resort destination, that it has turned out to be. People are looking for the mythical Toilet Bowl.

On the other hand, look at it this way. If we make it difficult to access, the trail will hold up better without constant traffic on it.

Toilet Bowl is rideable most of the way through without pedaling. I can get to about 20 feet from the NE trail now. I jacked up my back and was not able to build out all of the pump tracky stuff out of it. It will get done eventually, but not before opening day. Goal is to not pedal all the way back to NE.

Since I guess I am the most comfortable person riding the line, I actually like to get into a high gear, pedal after the drop in chute to the berm and then pedal out the second half of the berm. Just don;t catch a pedal! :p

If I ever get to build on my new Phase 2 trail, it will be even better than toilet bowl and the XC DH sections I carved out. Guaranteed. :)

Pray for some rain before opening day! I shoveled a fewe truck loads of dirt for the landing that is just getting blown away right now.

By the way. Have you guys seen the new berm and "wallride" at Colonnade?

Mike Kevin and I built a new section after the stepup box. I wanted to build the tightest most G-forciest berm out there that is still rideable. My suspension maxes out pretty quick bombing it into there.

I mention it because it is a lot like Toilet Bowl. I'm getting a lot of practice making big right hand berms these days. Imagine a trail with nothing but right hand giant berms?;)
