So it looks like the UCI ruling on videographers hasnt held up....or isnt being enforced? I guess the true test will be on race day. Someone set me straight if i'm way off.

are you referring to the helmet cams?

they have been pretty anal at the british races too, normally can get away with it for practice but not a chance for seeding and finals.

I am predicting sam hill is playing a headgame with everybody, and will come out stronger then he is letting on in interviews.

But given that, he still tore an ACL, and I predict he will be solid top 10, but not win. probably top 5. I know these guys heal fast and all, but 3 months for a torn ACL?

I predict steve peat will be top 5, but no win.

Gracia will be top 20.

Podium:

Minnaar
Gwin
Gee
Peat
Hill

Kovarik will be top 20, but just like every year for the past 4? 5? years, he will continue his streak of dominating the off season/pre season, and then not manage to put it together for the WC races. Be cool if he'd prove me wrong, and I'd happily eat my own words, but its not gonna happen. Best result he could be hoping for: 7th.

I reserve the right to change my rankings after seeing qualies :D

Edit: I am an unabashed racing fan boy.

Even as an aussie, I reckon it'd be awesome to see Gwin grab a win.

I reckon Bryn could be right up in the mix this time too.

WTF - Did Rachel Atherton crash 5 times or did she just put it on cruise control since she doesn't "need" to qualify (you'd think she wants the points though).

conditions are wet today for sure.

hill today with a 3.20, gwin yesterday with a 3.12
gwin today with a 3:40. There's some perspective.

If it rains, i'm going with Hill. Gwin in that situation i have big doubts over. But he does look pretty sharp, i have to admit.

look at the split times, she had the fastest first split and was up 2.5 seconds at the second split (4:00 mark)... obviously had issue somewhere after that

edit: apparently she ate **** hard on the last jump... safe to say she was up on the other girls until that point

wonder what conditions are on the hill and if they're going to **** for the last riders down... Cedric just missed top 80 my 1 second

and I am sure there will be a thread on this photo later, haha

Hellafornia. Formerly stumptown.
Strange how a man from one of the most arid countries on the planet absolutely kills it in the muck.

Anyone know what tomorrows conditions are forecasted to be? I bet people are worried that if it stays ****ty like this one legger will pull a first win tomorrow.
