Hey-O! yeah, it's an off Friday for me, so I slept in until 0600 and have been sippin' mah coffeeeeee.

Not going to plan anything this weekend, just let it play out as the mood strikes.

At some point this weekend, please take a few seconds to remember those that gave the supreme sacrifice for their nation and fellow man, whatever your politics are.

RIP LT John Finn, USN (Ret), passed away Thursday as the oldest living recipient of the Medal of Honor for action at Pearl Harbor. (He was a Chief Petty Officer at the time of the action).

saw Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings last night. fantastic performer, and a super-tight band. good stuff. also scored a free on-street parking spot in Kenmore Square, which is unusual since the Sox were also playing. sweet!

gonna see Grace Potter tonight, but will probably leave early so i can catch game 6.

This weekend I begin another revolution of the sun, so I'm riding, in no particular order, Vietnam, Foxgoro State Forest and Borderland.

Today I hove to go to the office for a little bit, then prepare for my trip to the parents.

Oh Hai!!

Stylishly late this morning.....had a conference call to start the morning out. I think I was still asleep for most of it, and I'm not sure what we decided in that call, either.

Band practice last night. We were all in a good place last night and the sound was pretty darned good.

Most of the weekend will be spent taking care of mom. She had her knee replaced this week and much of the family is taking turns being the designated caregiver. Oh joy.

As mentioned....please give some thought to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who are braving the worst to secure us the best.

bike news; A couple of my friends will be racing against the real PRO's at the Mellow Johnny's race this w/e in Texas :thumb:

Got back last night from 4 days in the field, not going into the office today. Spent the last few nights sleeping in the back of my truck. Bed was nice.

Holiday Weekend? Not here, working the whole thing. It is however the wifes last day of teaching for the year so I'm pretty happy 'bout that. Sourdough pancakes for me and the kiddo this morning now were just hanging out. Road riding this afternoon. :weee:

I feel like I missed the memo about the office being closed today - there are only a handful of us here. Weather is crap, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Heading to the pool at lunch and then may "work from home" for the afternoon.

Here's to long weekends! No solid plans other than taking the kiddos to the parade tomorrow.

I hope the weather up here turns around soon...At this point I'm glad I rode Whistler last weekend instead of this one...Last Friday and Saturday were GLORIOUS days. Today...not so much.

Not much of a plan for the next 3.75 days...Hope to get out on the roadie some. Maybe if the weather improves a touch, the XC bike. Still gotta get the car (and DH bike) cleaned out from last weekends adventure.

Working on the second cup of coffee right now...close on its' heels...a third cup.

Snow day giveback here so no work for me today. We're heading to Lowes to spend even more money getting the deck ready for our new hot tub and some work in the landscaping. Mountain bike ride with the guys tonight followed by a couple pints and dinner at the pub. More riding scattered throughout the long weekend as well to honor and remember those who have served to protect my freedom :thumb:

What parade are you attending? I am going to my first Boatnik parade tomorrow. My wife is from around here and has been telling me how awesome it is for people watching for 10 years now. More mullets than WalMart.

The Ski-to-Sea Parade in Bellingham. Also good for people watching - more of the hippie variety.

Started out the day at 12:45am heading over to my buddy Andys house. Then sat in a truck towing a trailer to around the Oceanside area so he could buy another truck...stupidly lifted (15") '79 Blazer. Sadly...the idiot selling it gave us the wrong dimentions of the truck and the trailer we brought was too small!! Sooo, then left there at 5am, got stuck in traffic and am at work now running off of no sleep! Oh...and I rode DH all day on Thurs. so I'm super exhausted!!
Only 6 more hours to go till sleep!!!!!!!!!
Ya...the beginning of my work weekend!
