Jim, you are being very kind.
I try to be! Was psyched to go mainly to pick up my FB-10, but just found out that it'll possibly not be ready yet...:(

Still, I pre-registered and it's my only June race, so what the heck, ya know? It's not like I live THAT far away.

Jim...where were you able to pre-register for this? I can't find it on bikereg.com where the Plattekill race was...thanks!

My rear shock from avalanche will be here tomorrow :D Thats means I'll be dusting off the demo 8 for the first time this year and making the trip north. Keeping my fingers crossed that we can actually have a race there this year without all the rain.

What the hell does that mean?

Lemme guess...the course has no dirt. Outlaws should hold up. Is Alvin going? We are bringing both mutts.
if your dogs are even seen you will be disqualified and asked to leave, with no refund.

You may thank Alvin for the venue enforcing this rule.

Outlaws will return home dented and flatspotted. But they are only outlaws:thumb:

if anyone at mt snow would like to trade a 2.7 fresh minion soft rubber 3c st or sr for a 2.5 fresh minion super tacky just pm me. i'm not thrilled with my decision to return to a 2.5 and it has only seen 2 days of use @ platty. the rubber still has hairs on it .

hopefully the rain holds off and it will be faster in the woods.

The Eastern Cup series seems to be exactly what the NE needs to improve the quality of our elite racing, but for recreational racers Mt Snow sucks. One trail to ride, and a very, very bad trail at that isn't the best way to spend your money as an amateur, especially when you can spend less money have more fun and actually ride your bike on more than one trail.

On that note
The first race of the Highland Mountain GS3 team slalom series is this Saturday.

$149 for non-season pass holders gets you 4 lift tickets and racing on the best slalom track I've seen in 17 years of riding and spectating DS races all over the country. It's steep enough to be fun as hell on a DH bike too! Highland has all sorts of DH trails, a fast lift and management and ownership that puts bikes as the #1 priority. All 4 races cost a whopping total of $60 for season pass holders.

If you race the entire Slalom series you miss 2 of the Mt Snow events, but you do miss a race at Plattekill. Bummer! Thing long and hard about that one.
There are only so many weekends in the year, make them count, and make fun your #1 priority, unless you have a pressing reason not to!

Two not used before courses will be explored this weekend and if they are good, they will be used. Mount Snow courses can be fun but different than the normal EC DH trail. Bombing down ski slopes at 35 mph into short woods sections can be super fun.

Yes there are tons of places to race this summer, but no othrer races in the east are part of a USAC Regional Championship Series and two State Championship Races. There are no other higher ranked USAC races and non that offer more ranking points than the Eastern Cup Series.

If someone wants to commit to running it we will also offer a ds/4x series next season. Yes that is a hint.

Woo Hoo for a chance at running a new course. I love riding at mount snow and would love to try something new. Either way its gonna be a fun weekend. Super stoked on how my new avalanche shock feels cant wait to put it through the ringer this weekend. Bringing both a set of Minions and set of Swampthings just in case we get washed out this weekend.

wow, Mount Snow really stepped it up with this course. There were new sections that just flowed, fresh NE loam every where and smiles on all in attendance. Not a drop of rain during practice, although the lifts shut for a bit because of thunder. It was great to see racers stoked on a Mount Snow course.

We also scoped out a new race course today and all three Gravity Project riders gave it a BIG thumbs up !!!

I'll have to agree with ya. I enjoyed the course today as well. Its was challenging and fun. Loved the fact that we got some new sections too. Cant wait to get back at it in the morning. Hoping it wont rain too much overnight as the course was really hooking up well as it dried up though out the day.
