looks like the typical summer patter. 40% chance sat, 60% chance after 2pm on sunday. that's better odds than the first race last year either way, i'm bringing my floaties

Track has been perfect all day today from initial taping at 9 AM until finalization of masters prizes at 6 PM. Light rain in Boone during the day but clear skies and prime soil conditions in Seven Devils

can't wait! by the way....you'll have to pardon my ignorance to modern terminology but what exactly is "hero dirt"?

thunderstorm with heavy rain at my house across the street...oh well it's all good.

so i basically take 7 devils road off of 105 and I think i turn left onto skyland drive. is that correct. and then I should run into a big parking lot. if not could you please correct my directions. im just not trying to spend 20 minutes finding the right route up to the race entrance point. much thanks to whoever can point me in the right direction...

btw I noticed the 8pm deadline a little after 8pm. I sent in my registration info like 2 days before but I paid me 90 bucks like 20 minutes after 8. I hope that doesn't cause you any inconvenience. I printed out my receipt like you told me to do though.

I was hoping paying after 8 wouldn't cause a problem just case I was waiting on a paycheck that came in friday afternoon and I'm not trying to give the bank 40 bucks for over drawing my account... so I just sent the 90 bucks around 8:30,,sry... I should be there around 9-10 depending on when I get around to leaving here. I'm ready to get the hawksnest experience that everyone raves about...It's so awesome you are putting in all this work to make this happen...

Had my alarm set for 6:30...she didn't go off dammit.

Did anyone find a wallet on the course today by any chance? My friend thinks it might have slipped out of one of his pockets because he fell several times. I know its probably like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I figured it's worth a shot to post on here about it. The wallet is black with a UGA logo on it. Thanks in advance.

The track looks sick, sitting at home is annoying, at least I'm cleared to fly now though. If I have any free time during orientation I'd love to help dig, going crazy not being around bike stuff.

Wow. Nothing to be ashamed about for me in that result. I lost a second here or there, but to finish upright on that track at speed feels awesome. Big ups to the bird crew!

I agree on all accounts Dr. Mike. And I think the young men putting this race together should be very proud of themselves. So good to see y'all stepping up in such a big way.

Anyway, enjoyed racing with and watching all you youngsters (and that's just the master's class).

I officially concede...she has defeated me every time I've step foot on her rooty soil.

Yeah I was also interested in my time vs. the amateur times. Pretty stoked I took 3rd in the intro class though I'm sure noone is impressed by that.
