We need a photo of the GF to see if she is worth all of this drama.

My Nemesis Project bars didn't even fit in their stem, I had to stip all of the paint off and re-spray them just so I could use them. I also have some of their older 4x WC modded forks, they are a terrible fork which when bottomed out hit metal on metal and the ti spacers fall apart as they have such a narrow wall thickness.

dayum, their bars didn't fit their stem??? I know you were and maybe still are frustrated about that but you do find the hilarity in that, right? I know I'd be pretty burnt up cuz I have a short fuse and their paint finish looked hella nice. To have to rattle can the bars is very uncool to have to do.

BTW there is no girl that's worth the drama that insued. Biz is biz, women come second after money.

Correct, they don't polish their bars they put a chrome like coat down and then do 150001 coats of candy which helps hide the horrible changes in diameter at the the bends. They did look nice and they are made in the US so they still get some cool points.

Yeah the bends just look like they've been crush bent, I don't know how bars are normally bent but my other 22.2mm jump bars look more like they were mandrel bent(is this possible?). I did a crap job with the spraying the bars but it suits the theme of the bike.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who got scmmed by Brad at Nemesis. In fact I got scammed out of $1250 down payment for the build of a frame. One year and 2 months to this day and he has yet to return the custom parts I had shipped him for the fabrication. The moneys, no chance in getting that. Lost cause I guess. After dodging my calls for what seems forever, I called him from a different area code and he freaked out, as if I had burned him with a hot iron. He started screaming and yelling like I had been the one who took the money from him. Any how, he used it to get sport suspension for his R32 Golf. Is too late now for me to get my moneys or my parts back but I want all to know that they should be very carefull and avoid this f***. People like this do not deserve to be in business.

I'm going t flat out call BS on this post -Sevral reasons - the WC 4x never used Ti spacers they were handanodized aluminum and all they did was space out the negtive cartirge so there is no way your fork could have bottomed out metal to metal .
If your TI spacer fell apart - again a email would have solved this and we would have sent you out new spacers .

Our bars do fit our stems - either your full of BS or you didnt have the proper reducer shim for the stem .
A email would have solved this and we could have sent out the proper part.

Nice first post

Quite lying to gain support over the internet -
True you sent us a design ( napkin cad ) and a deposit .
I made the tooling for your rear assembly and started looking for the material you quoted for your design.

You sent me the revised drawing which was nothing like the original and therefor we let you know this bike would be more to manufacture.

Then it came to material - you listed square 4130 chromoly stock in thicknesses that are not readily available on the market - this brought us back to were we are now .
your project has been shelved in the same way many many other full suspension prototypes do when the designer doest have the funds to cmplete the project or the materils are not availible and you can not supply the manufactoer with the needed materials to finished siad project at the orignal quoted price .

Ahh OK cheers for that, but I'm pretty sure mine are the first of your forks they are(I think) the 07WC which was a coil, and the spacer on top of the spring is almost dead.

Your bars didn't fit in the stem I promise you that, I bought them from the Aus importer when he was closing down. I tried to put the shims(genuine) onto the bars but there was no effing way it was going to happen, the clamping area was massive, I did measure it but I can't remember how far oversize they were but I know they weren't 22.2mm.
I thought about sending an email but after realising your bar and stem together weigh so freakin much(700g together?) I just put them in a dark corner in the shed, I'm no weigh weenie but that is a seriously crazy amount of weight.

What is the nice first post thing about, and have you guys dropped Kowa already?

Listen you thiev, I already got the material myself. It took me all but 5 minutes to find it at an aircraft suplier's store. What a bunch of f****** crap. You have to admit that you're an incompetent a**hole and that you robbed me of a good chunk of cash. I already invested a lot in this bike and you never pulled through. I have everything needed now to complete the project, including tubing. You're just a fag who doesn't want to admit that you couldn't wait to screw ne more person over. Anyhow you will bury yourself if you keep up with this retarded kind of business practice. You'll piss enough people off.....

Hey, no one said his products are not legit. In fact he came recomended as a custom builder but then again, I don't think you would just hand him $1250 just because. You'd expect service in return. Anyhow, I did not boycott his products, just criticized he's idiocracy! Lying a-hole owes me $1250 plus the parts I sent him.

We have been very straight up with you about this.
1. The prints submitted for quote were NOT the same prints submitted for production , any manufacture would have asked for more money or better documentation of the product you wanted produced this unfortunately takes time .
2. The material you requested was not available and we asked you to just find us a vendor who could supply this and you could not so the project was shelved .

3. You now ask for a refund after we have spend more than the quoted time alloted for this project going over the differences in your design and consulting you on this during this time .

4. I have said I'll send your parts and some money back + the fixtures made ( not posting pics due to your patented design ) once you stop posting lies and using the internet to bate me into a response you can twist around to your advantage .
Very simple this has been our response for the last 6 months .

Thank you for your post .
I do not like having to reply to these threads but it's always nice when one of our customers comes forward and offers affirmation that we in fact do make legit products and I stand behind every last handlebar , fork , stem or frame custom or production I have even made .

In reply to statements saying I give the bike industry a bad name -
I honestly beg to differ and would say that Ride-Monkey supporting these threads give the entire bike industry a bad name and they offer a open un moderated venue for Witch hunts like this to go on .

In the end the thread and the others like it only posted on RM were started by customer who received produced shipped to them late -
Plain and simple and I'm suer I'm not the only company that has had shipping problems or have delayed orders due to concerns with inconsistent Pay-Pal address . When you one person running a bike company mistakes and delays can happen I'll be the first to admit this straight up .

In the end the customer got their bars and still started a damaging thread which I have answered all accusations and claims honestly and truthfully to the best of my ability for all the see .

I'm aplogise to anyone reading this who might think were shady , please check out our blog to see photos of current customer bike builds and pic's from the last frame I hand delivered to a customer .

Thank you
-Brad

To all fellow members out there, looks like Brad and I are going to sort things out. Just to remind everyone, I never said his products were bad or in anyway said that they weren't up to task, (as I have mentioned in an earlier post in this thread), just had a problem with him personally. It looks as though we may have reached an agreement and we are sorting things out amicably.

Would like to thank both mongoose2231 and evil4bc for your info on Nemesis.
I have been thinking about buying a hardtail from them(Nemises) for awhile now.
For one..they are built here in the USA and are a local company, so i would have loved to have givin support to them by sporting there bikes and parts(even though in all honesty they are a bit over priced).
But after the way i see things handled and the way they carry themselves i will not go that route, instead will look into supporting a different brand.

Yes this is my 1st post on RM but i applaud this thread as it does help the customer see just what they are getting themselves into when dealing with such company. I as most ppl dont need this type of headache.

TY RM for allowing customers to share there experiences, i think this is great in many ways, as seen here in this thread. A half way decent company knows how to conduct themselves, and this company has shown they are a bottom feeder as far as business and customer service is concerned.

P.S i live in the downtown Sacramento area, and the biggest idiots hands down are the fixie kids. Sorry i just couldnt help but lmao when i read that comment about how well educated these tools of society are.

good luck to you all,

it amazes me how many times you can end up here, clearly you are doing something wrong, every time you see your name here (ive seen it 6 times) you stop scamming people, cant you just deliver the product, i bought one of your forks 2nd hand and the product is great, learn to run a business. The product is only half of it

Dunno how much you frequent RM but if you're still in the market for a locally built hardtail from a legit company look into Solid BMX. They have made hardtail mtb park frames and are dope in quality and service. They also make a number of other parts. He's just off of HWY 50 and Sunrise Blvd.

ok, i am from a UK forum called ride street but since finding this thread on a pinkbike forum i had to join in to give my input.

When i first ordered my nem pros almost a year and a half ago everything seemed fine with the company, they got all the way to the uk in about 10 days. I was impressed with this as it meant i could use them in a big london street ride that weekend. The bars were good, nice paint job, fit well with my stem ect. no problems at all.

About half a year later i was having an evening session down the local skatepark doing basic tricks that i had down and could do smoothly but after landing a pretty legit 360 on a quarter pipe i noticed that my bars were cracked. at this point i believed that there must have been a fault in the bars, because to be honest they seemed perfect up until then.

I messaged Brad on Ride street through the private message service on ride street. i did this so that other potential customers wouldn't see and didn't want to potentially damage the reputation of his nice bars. After a few days i also messaged him on Facebook as i felt that he wasn't a very active member on ride street. I got a reply and emailed him photos of my cracked bars. he said that there could have been a fault in the bars and he would sent me another set. to my understanding we had arranged that after received my new bars i would send him the cracked set. he already had proof that they were broken in the photos and that the cracked set were sent back to him for his company for further testing. everything seemed alright. he had my address and everything.

After a few weeks i emailed him back asking where my bars where and he said that they would be in the next shipment because he was combining postage with other uk orders. again this seemed reasonable as postage would probably cost a bit.

I was silenced for a few months but my concern of not receiving the bars grew after speaking to other members on ride street who had the same problem as me. I emailed brad asking where my bars were and he then asked for money to pay for the postage and my old bars sent back. the cost of this would cost more than a new set of bars so after a few months without being able to ride my bike due to it being barless i gave up and ordered a different set.

I am still confused as to why a company that seemed to be so legit could change so much. it was almost as though it had changed owner. no i don't know weather this was down to stress brad was getting from complains and orders. or other things going on. I always miss my nem pros as they were my favorite bars that i have owned by far and Im not having a go at brad, just saying my story. now he has changed market i hope that things are back to how they were (y)

Why do me mainly make fixed gear frames now ?
Has nothing to do with the product but more the customer base !
your average fixed gear customer is educated with more than a 8th grade level of correspondence , they appreciate quality workmanship and are willing to pay for it without starting a ****-storm on the internet just to make themselves feels loved and important .
Good riddance nut sack. If smelly hipsters are your idea of a well educated demographic then you shouldn't be making anything but tea cozies.

Nemesis Projects customer service, manufacture, and public relations are all done by a single man, lacks professional business ethics. Products are decent, but not worth the complication. Many other local fabricators to select from.

Exactly, he should hire some f******* help. What a rat bastard. We seemed to have reached an agreement about 3 mos ago on the basis of returning some custom parts I had made and refund some of my money I had sent him in an effort to get a frame built. Guess what? He has yet to send me my ****. I am tired of this asshole. **** you brad, I don't care if you get upset or if you say you sue me for tarnishing your company's name. **** you. that is it.

I just undeleted some posts that I had originally deleted in an effort to get mongoose2231 some money back.

Brad, in his typical M.O., demanded that all posts be deleted on the subject and he'd give back the money. Despite my misgivings about removing stuff that should be part of the public record, the money was more important to get back.

Well, I guess Brad stiffed him again. Posts have been undeleted so the whole story is pretty much here. Yay, Brad!
