cool to see a cut-away of the frame.

correct me if I'm wrong, but there shouldn't there be a alu/metal insert for the headset cups?

looks like they have gone for a layer or 2 of fibreglass to insulate the frame from the headset

Looks great.. interesting to see the e13 cranks in the wild.. chub makes a 20mm hub already don't they? 31" cf bars, my inner e-speculator wants to say not a good idea, but I've gotten past the whole CF frame thing..

BTW I love the CF V10, price is about the only excuse left for me not to get one(yeah everyone else's excuse as well).

right here -> .
Where are you guys getting the pricing on the new V 10?
from facebook: "The Santa Cruz V-10 carbon is simply unbelievable. Frame only price, with RockShox Vivid Coil shock and Cane Creek's new Angleset will be $2999 - same as the current aluminum V-10. The frame is approximately pound lighter than the current aluminum V-10."

I want that V10.
Friend of mine just ordered a Podium, I'm looking forward to "borrowing" it for a run or two...

Just saw that exact bike in Whistler yesterday...there was a whole crew of 'em on the carbon V10s. Sooooooo insanely beautiful. If there is a DH bike to have in the future, it's that one.

I love that someone is taking it to this level, but these bikes aren't made for everyone which is something that has to be realized. It however is built great for its intention, extra fast and light DH bike.

Intense FRO? Too light tubing ?

Point is these bikes are for people who want to get the most out of their races, and thus pay the price in durability think non park bike

and THAT is why I dig Santa Cruz. Same price, improved tech.

Take note, other-overpriced-overhyped companies.

Didn't the prices on other SC frames stay the same when they moved production from the US to Taiwan? I'm pretty sure a couple went up slightly in cost, seemed a bit rude to me.

they are offering a lifetime warranty on the frame

Unlike the Trek, that V10 doesn't have anything stupid on it, and its not made paper thin. Its likely going to take more abuse then a Session would, if the marketing is even close to telling the truth about the strength.
it also cost a few dollars more to get that way

I dont think durability will be an issue. As mentioned the warranty is life time and contrary to many peoples opinion, carbon can take the knocks.

Not sure I'd buy a second hand one though.........:D

Haha not quite!

It's that irritating piece of metal/plastic/carbon that hangs off the rear end! So many sexy ass dialled bikes being released at the minute but none of them have stepped far enough up and got rid of the rear mech, I'll stick with my Sunday until one does!
