1. I'm surprised to see how much snow is still up at the top of the trail.
2. Glad to see they fixed that obnoxious right-hand turn after the jumps at the top. Might not look so good after a race weekend though.

Any news on the 4x? Is it going to be on Livewire again,or did they build a purpose built 4x track for their 2x series?

It's on livewire, zone 6 down I believe. They added a few little things in that bottom section, like a few new pro lips and an inside line for one of the berms.

Word from today is that the road gap for Pro and Cat 1 is awesome but that the 2 big jumps at the end of the course have very little room for run out.

Course is smoother then last weekend and the new features are killer......except maybe the run out at the bottom. : )

Wish I could be there right now. Too expensive of a race for me for riding that trail :~
Oh well, I'll be ready to rail Sol Vista in July!!
I was talking to p-dog about this last night. How is Tahoe too expensive for you, but port angeles, angel fire, and colorado are not?

Mostly because I completely miss-managed all my finances in Angel Fire and should not have even gone there. Now I'm struggling to afford anything.
Also, reg and lift tickets came to about $150 which is WAY more then the others.

And the big thing that I have not told too many people is that I need shoulder surgery at the end of summer so gotta save up for the days I won't be able to work. Annndddd...I'm moving out of SB at the end of summer also.

Shoulder surgery eh? Have fun with that. Dislocations? Is $150 really that much (I mean relatively of course) ? 3 days or lift tickets +reg for $150 seems pretty reasonable to me. That's only like a $30 fee for racing the right? It's okay though, you wouldn't be a proper DH-er if you managed your personal finances well and lived within your means. :P

Actually, I don't know if the $150 was including lift tickets or not. It never mentioned when I went to first sign up.

But ya, I've dislocated my shoulder too many times and have a pretty torn rotator cuff...so fun! And if I don't feel old by having bad knees and shoulders at 21...i'm leaving to go eat dinner at Sizzler. That should make me feel REALLY old.

Thanks for posting the qualifier results! Fun to be racing at Crested Butte and checking out the racing at Northstar (where I will be next weekend coaching).
I gotta tell ya, I'm missing CB a bit, just because it's one of my favorite stops on the MSC, but Northstar is LEGIT! Having a blast out here, and getting update from guys back home!

Andy and Trevor from the team (both BetterRiders) went pretty good in quali's, we're getting ready to head up for race-day practice and then gonna crush it in finals!

I don't know about anyone else, but I had a lot of fun being at this event. The course was very demanding, and was great for me to ride as it was like old school big bear trails, tore up, dry, pedalling....rad.

Thanks to anyone and everyone who had something to do with this event. I hope I can make it out to some more GRT races.

thanks! saw you walking the new bike with your wife and kid while I was with my gf, didn't stop to say hi cause we were in a bit of a hurry, but the m9 looks great in person!

Cool to see a local representing, good work sylvestri, and wish I could have stayed to watch the race and see minnaar tearing it up!

Great event, so good to be up on the mountain. Nice job to all the juniors, Mitch Ropelato getting it done for Team Ex Drinks with and 1st place in Jr X in addition to his 5th place pro finish. He showed some serious endurance. They had a go around for the Juniors so they required him to race with them for a accurate comparative time. I think he has a 4:13 in Jr X and stepped up to a 4.07 in Pro.

Ah man, shoulda said whatsup, I met a bunch of RM people in person, and a ton of new schoolers. It sure is good getting back into the sport. Riding that bike was pure heaven, can't wait to get them into the hands of the public.

The section I was at for the finals, sort of mid course, Mitch was top 3 fastest dudes through there, and then some dude on a green commencal was by far the fastest through there, unreal.

I hope PBmedia, or Damo, or Forrest got a pic of me, I never get any pics of me toading downhills.

thanks to everyone who was involved, participate, or just came to watch. i've been stressing since the end of last year, i'm overwhelmed on the amount of support & interest the GRT has been getting thus far this season!

THANKS TO EVERYONE!
