What is up the Evil crew? (Is that better stikinthemud?)

All I have heard is that bikes are hard to get, web site hasn't been updated since April, sponsored riders racing other bikes because they don't have Evil frames, etc.

Where you guys at?

Good people, good product, good "branding" should result in success.

What happened???!!

the internet is vast and full of correct answers. i would suggest trying that or a phone call before putting forth allegations such as, "All I have heard is that bikes are hard to get, web site hasn't been updated since April, sponsored riders racing other bikes because they don't have Evil frames, etc." for one.

Todd parted ways with Evil on terrific terms and is now the Product Manager at GT and suggesting that he "bailed out" rather rude.
The "crew" is hard at work as ever. It is still a new company, give it some time.
As for "hard to get frames", what bike company is that not true of right now?

If you are trolling with this post, well done. Otherwise, do a little browsing outside of RM.

Whoa take it easy. I met Todd when he was traveling w/ Hill and Jacy and he came off as a good guy. (Other than that I don't know any of the "crew" personally)

Evil busted onto the scene w/ the Revolt shortly after and created tons of buzz. They got Stevie on the WC circuit and I got excited for DH racing again.

I know what it is like for a small company in the bike industry, and I know what it is like for a big company in the bike industry. I am not attacking anyone or trying to be rude (the only trolling I know is off the back of a boat). I am just curious. I did try ye old internet and I got a website that looked the same as it did in March.

You would rather have me call Evil:

"Hello, you guys sponsor XX but I saw him last week racing a Santa Cruz. What gives?"

I think that would be rude.

Anyway, I guess no one knows but the guys that work there.

Oh my god, remember rampage when Vanderham was riding for evil but rode a Sunday, AGGHHHH!!!! The worlds falling apart!

I cannot stress enough how diligent Gabe and even Kevin have been about returning emails.

i get replies from them pretty fast and everytime
Er, I happen to live with one of the principals at Evil. I watch him on his phone & email 24/7. They do indeed answer emails and phone calls, prolifically in fact.
I've had replies in the middle of the night from them. Their CS is awesome.
Different experiences then. It took them 3 weeks and many emails to them just to get pricing info and availability (I was ready to lay down money for one). I have never been able to get a phone call back, or had anyone pick up the phone, calling across a couple months.

Man to miss out on a season for a bike thats been coming next week for six months? Are you tied into buying one? They are great bikes and when you get it i think you will be happy but life is too short to be waiting this long.

As far as I've heard, Evil doesn't sponsor that many riders. Who was racing on a Santa Cruz from their team?
I know the guy you're talking about.

Thing is, we're talking about a guy that is sponsored for enduro racing. Not downhill.

Kevin and Gabe are working on a bike to fill this niche, so until they do, boy's gotta race something...

the only logical explanation is that they know what a tool you are and don't want their brand to be associated with the likes of you.

You act like the bike industry is full of fulfilled dreams and deadlines that are always met.

As was said in another thread "I don't have a dog in this fight". But to act like suddenly the bike industry is at the beck and call of it's clients in this instance when it rarely holds true for any bike company? Kind of a stretch for you.

I'm not going to bring other brands into this thread, but the one whose frames my wife and I have always have been quick and accommodating and they're not huge compared to most. Not trying to start a mine is better than yours, just want to say that it IS possible.

that was a smart ass sarcastic remark aimed squarely at the person I responded too (as I actually know him).

Go get a sawz-all to remove the knots in your panties. :boss:

Well if they are too good for my money then they won't get it. Others will.
