shimano am40 stiffness vs fiveten

I'm thinking about switching back to flats and need some new hoof covers.

Can anyone tell me if the am40's are stiffer than the impacts?

Do any of the impacts have differing stiffness? Karvers?

Impacts are stiffer in the long run. The Shimanos seem to get real flimsy after a long period of use.

The pair of am40's I saw at the shop seemed soft like Van's, or my 5.10 basics.

Damn I never found my last pair of regular Impacts stiff enough, I was hoping that Shimano used the mp66 mid with a sticky sole. Are the Karvers any stiffer?

same as the regulars, only 10% faster.
