Nice. Sounds like an interesting call. Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Thats one of those random calls I would love to see pics of. I work EMS and I ride so it intrigues me on multiple levels.

I had a first today as well, responded to vehicle over embankment, rollover, two pts, entraptment, possible pin in. Pulled into a neighborhood, that is when I was thinking, man this is really strange, they must have been hauling ass on these neighborhood rds, arrive on scene to find that a guy drove his suv through the flower bed on the side of his house and right down into the creek. I know it sounds possible, but this guy really would have had to try to do this. Wish I could post a picture to show what I'm talking about, but it has the pt's being packaged, so thats a no go.

ver seen the picture of the motorbike rider who ejected in mid air and was impaled on a yucca or joshua tree branch, about 8 feet up...then ripened in the sun for 6 or 8 hours while awaiting EMS? Nasty...

I'll have to see if I can dig up a pic that was emailed to me many years ago of a guy who was thrown from his bike and was impaled on about a 6"-8" diameter log. Looked like it entered the gooch and came out his side just above his hip. Still makes me cringe just thinking about it.

It also happened a few years ago on the Kanc during motorcycle week in Laconia, NH, but with a fatality. A tree fell and killed a woman who was riding on the back of her husbands bike.
