Hey everyone,
Just a few more days until the final round of the NW Cup is in the books. We've had some last minute sponsors step-up to fatten the prize and raffle stash. The raffle will be Saturday evening at the Red Lion with a spaghetti dinner and some flicks. At this point, the party should be just $5 which includes dinner/entertainment/raffle ticket. THIS HAS CHANGED!!!! The Red Lion was double booked Saturday night so we will be making other arrangements. Stay tuned

We'll be putting the final touches on the tracks this week and the dirt, while dry is still pretty solid, no moon dust!

Thanks again to everyone who supported this race series. We've got some pretty good plans in store for off season building and possibly some new events next year???

Countdown is on.

Look at the schedule on the website (www.nwcup.com) and be sure that you are registered before your practice time. We strongly discourage anyone racing without adequate practice. Plus more practice=more fun.

Nothing really organized for this, mainly because I can't think of when and where and how to do it. I think everyone should just bring what they want to get rid of and we'll designate an area where you can put your stuff, (maybe around the podium?). You could attach a tag with the price and your cell phone number and name so you don't have to sit next to it all day. I don't think we'll have a security problem.

We can also have a table at the spaghetti feed on Saturday night as well.

thanks Scott, is there a reduced registration fee for first time NW CUP racers; the same promotion you offered at the last race?
thanks

Ok so here is the latest changes.

#1 We are going to have the dinner/raffle/swap meet on Saturday right after practice on the hill where the food usually is. We will hopefully be ready with food by 6ish??

#2 Course tweeks: Cat 1 and Pro's will take Double Bypass and then connect with the White Knuckle just before the big doubles. The course was in need of some airtime. If you haven't hit them, stop and take a good look. There is a ride around that is very marginally slower (like 1-2 seconds).

Also, there may be a rather significant change to the finish area just before the bridges. We plan to completely rebuild that area this winter, but we may start the process sooner than we thought?

Courses are taped and it is super fast right now. Every trail is raked clean of marbles (at least for now).

See you all soon.

but the spaghetti dinner is gonna still be at the red lion right?
The Red Lion has a wedding that night in the only room that will accomodate this many people. We will be having the spaghetti dinner on the hill after practice. My wife and I cater so we can handle it.

thank you ODS for putting on some killer races on some awesome trails. Also big thanks to all the sponsors , volunteers, photographers, and timing crew. I'm sure it's way more work than we know. Keep up the good work.

I am going to dig up whatever info I can find and try to figure it out myself. I'm really sorry everyone for the hold up, guess you just have to do things yourself nowadays.

Sorry for the unreasonable delay. It was a little out of my hands, but "the guy" came through.

"The Guy" feels really bad and would like to apologize for being a slacker on getting the final results complete. Look at me, I'm even late in my apology!

With that said, let me just say, "Great Job!" to Scott, Casey, Shawn and the rest of the people behind the scenes for putting on such an awesome series of races in Port Angeles this year. It was the best year of racing yet, with awesome and varied courses, well run practice schedules and strong attendance.

I am very interested in coming over to help dig this fall if there's something in the works? Oct 16th or 30th both jump out as free on the calendar. let us know
