New Bikes on the Block: Dartmoor

This brand is huge over in Europe with a full line of street mtb parts. Just got my 24in Dartmoor Ghetto built up a few weeks ago - this frame is damn light and super sick. It has one piece hydroformed chainstays which look very trick. It just feels good to be on a frame where i feel just plain comfortable on again! Fork is temporary as are the wheels - bike came in at a tick over 27lbs as seen. Should be 1.25lbs ish less after new parts.

yeah i used to ride "trials" so for some reason, not matter what style bike i ride, i am more comfortable hoping and such on long stems - tried out a 65mm to make it fit in with the "street" look but i didnt feel comfortable on it.

yeah the seat post bolt setup is the same system that thomson basically uses

it does technically put additional stresses on the TT at the end of it since there is a hole but the front of the seat tube at the TT junction is not really a major stress point. the more important seat tube stress area is where the seat stays meet the seat tube so there is no change there.

there is still full tube contact between the TT and the seat tube so im not worried about it - a few companys have used this system also and i havent seen/heard any issues

im also happy to be using a 27.2 pivotal post finally that is slam-able (if thats your thing) - no more 25.4+shims which slip for me all the time!
