Read the lawill patent if u need to know that

The size is correct for me, you have to run the same amount of seatpost on a size XS, to me this is no XC bike, i dont sit, its downhill-i wouldnt even have a seat if the top tube wouldnt hurt my nuts so bad if i fell

you dont use the seat at all while your riding? what do you do when you turn/drift? or when your tired and want to sit for a second to figure out what trail your going to ride?

whats the point of riding that bike if it has so many problems? why would you want to ride a bike with no seat? seems gay to me! haha you have about 4 other bikes.... i just dont understand!

Know that you won't get 100% compression worth of travel, right? You can also get a spring that's 2.875 long to reduce the travel a small amount due to compressionable range.

Everybody keeps saying that, i dont know about anybody else, but ive never ridden anything that needed my seat except suicide no handers, i never use it to turn or drift, it only gets in the way and messes me up(kept smashing into my ass on dominion) As for the trails, i can sit, its a little low, but i do sit on it, just not when riding. I think the problems will go away when the bike is set up correctly, i talked to joker and im 100-150 lbs too light on the spring, i also did not know that it hit the frame at bottom out. It will be sweet when its done, i tend to like the older bikes as it is, some of the new stuff is too WC for me. (although their might be something new coming along ;) )

the new stuff is to WC yet your ordering a 2011 demo8?

so your telling me your not using your seat in this pic?

im not trying to give you a hard time im just finding it hard to believe that you dont use the seat at all. how some WC riders have seats then? wouldnt it be lighter to take them off and save weight if they arent used?

Id feel lost on my bike if i didnt have a seat, the insides of my knees were bruised after riding blue mountain this weekend from leaning on the seat in off camber turns.

neither of those shots are sitting or using it, im sure uve noticed that i run my seats slammed, It might be because i started on bmx, i couldnt tell ya, but i never sit down (aside from breaks) and i dont sit and pedal, so to me its useless, on the yeti i can still sit (cant pedal though)

As for the drift, this is the clip, you can see i dont sit.

i cant even sit on this 1 period

Edit, my "hate" on the seats is that i dont have a big inseam, and when i try to lean the bike down (for turns) it always "stops" me, its like trying to do a tabletop on a road bike. Ive ridden bikes with the seat up (the yeti for a day or two) ill admit that its nice to sit down, but the bike was unridealbe for me, i couldnt lean it down nor could i let it slide. I put the seat on the TT, and i like it way better, i can really let it rip this way. I dont expect to change the world, but while my set up isnt "correct" its way faster for my style

Uh correct me if I'm wrong but i believe you just got a demo after cracking your karipel:rofl:
hehehehe... you are right... i was just adding to joker's list. he was naming the big names of the last decade and pointing out that they all had their "quirks". he just left one off the list. however... the crash i put that karpiel through would have snapped any 6 yr-old aluminum frame.

demo9, i see what you're saying. Even with the seat slammed, it's nice to have it there as a guide. Even slammed, your inner thigh rests against it when you're sliding/drifting.

Funny anecdote, I actually don't ride with my seat slammed anymore - even riding street, because although I used to, it made riding any other bike with the seat up feel very weird. (For example, it became weird/difficult to bunny hop with my XC bike if I had been coming from a street bike with the seat slammed)
