Yes, I have added something new to my stable. This one isn't some new uber-bike, it's much, much better. Some of you know that in addition to moving across the country for a new job, I did it with my wife 6 months pregnant. I don't recommend driving 3,000 miles in 6 days with a pregnant woman, two cats and one dog.

On Saturday August 14th, my wife Karie and I welcomed our beautiful baby daughter Ava Elizabeth into the world. Weighing 8lbs 2oz and stretching 20" from tip to toes, she was a week late and completely worth the wait.

This is where I've been for the last couple of days. We're all home now, got home yesterday afternoon, and after a night of zero sleep, I think we've solved the "proper sleep position for her" puzzle, and she got some great naps in today, and let mom and dad get a bit of a rest in.

Pronounced "ay-vuh" or "ah-vuh"?

Regardless, love that name.
The first pronunciation. Welove the name too, we've had it for about 5 months, but didn't tell anyone. Drove our families insane too. That was fun.

Thanks all, we're excited and utterly exhausted.

Congrats bud! Don't let her listen to Prodigy or do the twin green mowhawk thing, I know there's that hereditary chance... ;)

Congrats to all of you! Does she have carbon fiber in her?
I've been thinking of having her crib molded in UD carbon, but it might be too light, she'd be able to move the crib around the room. Maybe a carbon rocking horse...
