Footage didn't include audio from the ship. Here's what was missing:

How heavy do the seas have to be to do this? Are we talking 30+ft waves?

Holy hell. That's crazy. I just went on a 9 day cruise of the Eastern Caribbean in July. There was one day that the waves got a little sketchy, but it was nothing like that. It wasn't even that bad. Kinda like being drunk really. None of the furniture was moving. That had to be something like 30 footers. Good lord. I wonder what the hell they do for people on cruises like that? You wouldn't even be able to take dramamine and pass out because you'd be falling out of your bed.

From the description, it was off the coast of New Zealand and was basically a monster storm with 50 knot winds and gigantic swells. The video is about two years old, but I guess it was recently released for public viewing. I've been on a few cruises and the the swell has to be pretty big to even feel it. I can't even imagine how big the swell was to cause that. Waves must have been crashing onto the deck of the ship.

Crazy that stuff isn't more secure.

Cruises have always had zero appeal to me. Now it's less than zero.

But it is sort of funny in a cruel way that those dumbasses would not leave the buffet.

Doesn't the catpain know the old saying, "when in doubt, throttle out".

That was some rough sea, so I guess there was no water left in the swimming pool and hot tubs.

That ship didn't look big at all. The one i was on in July looked about 10 times the size of that one. I wonder if the bigger one wouldn't have been rocking back and forth as much? That looked sketchy as hell.
