Just finished the install this evening for my Boxxer world cup. I'm wondering what pressure you guys are running. I'm about 185 and I life a softer ride. Ive got it on the standard 12-12 clicks and am just trying to get the air side pressure correct before I go run testing on it. Any help would be appreciated.:thumb:

65-75 Im 238lbs and like it a bit soft as well... Did you do the mid speed valve, if not and you notice a bit of dive its from running it soft. The mid speed allows softer pressure and more stance in corners and braking,,,

That´s low! I´m 170lbs, and I runnin´ 70psi on a normal summers day. A tad more when the temp drops.
I upped it to 75 recently now Im doing the mid speed to get it dialed...

I think the reaward arch of the jedi and the way it preloads is different than alot of bikes which allows me to run less as Im not over the front. The bike elongates a bit when compressed versus going vertical and throwing weight forward so I sit centered in a pocket instead of moving my body back to get back over the saddle...

I've got mine at 70 right now and it pretty stiff while parking lot testing. Going to dial it in today, but a reference manual for these things would definitely come in handy.

Okay, just got my Avy cart for my 10 Boxxer Race, and my Woodie for the frame.
Waiting on frame still, but keen to get everything ready.
Should I bother with air spring? My bike will be light enough anyway.
How often are you guys needing to check spring pressure?
I'm 70kg(metric system, you know you want it). Any reccomendations on set up?

I say yes on the air. I used to hate the harsh feel of air but dam the air boxxer is uber plush and super easy to adjust spring rate for various conditions. It stays pretty constant but i still check it from time to time.

X2 on air for the new boxxer... Its plush and reliable so far... Been tested in 5 degrees snow, rain mud, ice water crossings etc to 100 degrees dry dusty, rocky and just overall nasty.. Lubed it 1 time so far in 6 months and lots of rides, its been great.... Put air in 1 time because I was fiddling with it...

Had a cart (& Yellow Spring for my 63 Kg heaviness) fitted to my 2010 Boxxer Race on a 2010 Session 8. My God !! What a difference!! Went with recommended settings, 12 clicks comp 12 clicks rebound = Plush, Controlled, smooth full travel. One excellent upgrade. Thanks Craig!

Just did a local race and slew of runs on the boxxer cart this weekend.
Small bump sensitivity way improved over the 2010 Race moco and the thing feels a little soft at first but is totally controled over chattery gnar that had a slight vague feeling before at speed.
I started the day off with a 10-12 huck drop and no harsh bottom out despite a flattish landing/run out.
I only have a few hours on it so far but super stoked on the quality of dampening.
I know the plush word is played out but this thing feels silky compared to stock moco or mission control dampening.
Its a pricey upgrade but if you want the best you can have it right now.

Yep the cart saved my @$$ at sit today laid down banking a corner hard and hit a rock sticking out 8"+ and leaned down didn't help. Took the hit and didn't lose traction or pack up...... thankfull for that would have been bad had it messed up.... it was already in the travel 1/2 way so it took a HARD hit..., controlled and.tracked like a razor today...

Has anyone used Maxima fork oil in their cart?
http://www.maximausa.com/shopping/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=45
I'm in a country town in Oz, and it's all I think I can egt easily.

Do not use that!
In the zoom pic you can see that oil is harleydavidson type E fork oil.
Its not cartridge oil or compatible with. Look at the maxima type that sethimus posted and i reqouted a few post up.
Really, the honda oil should be easy to get even in OZ?

I can't see what you mean. It's says cart in the spiel, it says 85/150 5wt.
If it's crap quality, I'll look elsewhere, but on papaer I can't see what's wrong.

got my golden spectro cartridge oil in the mail couple days ago... now just waiting for my box from Craig! he said it was shipping Monday... so anxiously awaiting... going to be dropping it into 2010 Boxxer Race... Also have air cartridge on the way to convert it to a world cup...

is the top cap part of the solo air assembly?

Here's a question.

2010 Boxxer Race with Avy upgrade or 2010 Boxxer Team (stock)?

Im not particularly fast but i can hang it out from time to time:)
I've ridden every model of Boxxer since 03 and i must say that a 2010 Race with Avy cart is a deadly weapon.
Certainly the stock Boxxers are capable but if you know your stuff and ride hard an Avy Boxxer you will be sold.
Thats just how it is.
Think of it as works moto internals for DH bicycle app

Agread: Stratos S7, S8, Marzocchi 06 888, 07 888 rc2x wc, 08 and 09 slata 888 rc3, Boxxer 06 team, 08 wc, 09 wc, 10 wc, Fox 07 40 RC2, 08 RC2, DHF, and aside of the DHF this Cart makes the 2010 WC Boxxer the monster of the bunch aside of the DHF which I rode didnt own the rest I owned and those are just the triple clamps of which I owned a few of each at times not including all the single crowns Ive had.

I have a pretty decent feel for all of these forks and love the AVY cartridge!!!:thumb:

I am working on the tuning info: a little here and there not alot of time lately but I will get a good base to work off for others so they can pipe up too... Sorry for the delay...

LooNatic, I know you upgraded a 2010 boxxer race, and upgraded to the air spring... I am trying to do the same.. I ordered the soloAir spring kit for a 2010 boxxer 35mm, what else do I need? Sounds like a need the top cap found it on bti website as: BTI part #: RS-3753... anything else I need to convert my boxxer race to a world cup? Any ideas where I can get this top cap??? thanks in advance

So do they have capacity to produce enough of these kits or will they be availible to just a few? They seem very popular and it seems too be a steal compared to other forks and cartridges out there. Will the prices drastically go up?

I mean, can I buy a Boxxer Race/RC now and expect that I can buy the upgrade in a year or will they all be gone by then.

part of the beauty is that he just needs to make 1 cart, and then different adapters for different forks.

so i would guess this will be a pretty durable, long term offered product.

The top caps and air cart seem to be hard to find right now.
BTI gets a few from time 2 time as does QBP.
The 2011 air cart is changed up somewhat so maybe a bunch of those are on a boat from taiwan or something.

When i was on the hunt i was checking EVERY day until BTI showed some in stock then had my guy order em up.

I think the guy has been in business for 20 years or something. If anything, the seeming popularity of this product will help guarantee he stays on the scene.

When I talked to him last weekend, he said he was selling about 1 kit/hr. So it sounds like things have picked up big time since the beginning of the summer. I cant wait to try it out. All I need now is this pesky boxxer air cap.

You mean does it clunk like a elka! :D JK

Id opt for open bath versus sealed more seals and more stiction to do the same thing is kind of not my cup of tea I already have to worry about the air side of my fork let alone the cart failing and making it not rideable either... Besides DHFs have been rocking solid since the begining and still rockin no issues so Id go that route aside of alot of the gimicky stuff on a pressurized cart the bottom out has to be internal and that would colum load the small parts internally and could lead to some issues in itself thats the reason Craig uses the largest surfaces inside the fork lowers internally to take the load...
