Fox 40 2011 spring question

It depends on the riders weight. When you order one Fox will ask your weight and they will put the right Ti spring in and give you a weight over and under in steel.

Is that if you're ordering fork only? I just got a new complete bike that came with a '11 Fox 40 but I didn't get any other springs in it, other than what it came with.

Mine broke the same way recently. It was just over 12 months old.
Ya, I'm currently on a 5 week trip in BC... it was fun dealing with this. Went to Home Depot, bought a few pieces of PVC to make spacers. Ran that for a few days, until I found a 2010 Marz 888 spring that actually worked in my 40. As usual Fox was absolutely NO HELP. My wife flew up here last week and brought a Fox steel spring with her. Running that until we get back to Vermont when I will send my broken spring in and see what happens... AWESOME!!!

this is why I asked that because it seems that all Fox 40 users break a their ti springs from time to time...
