There's got to be a joke in there somewhere about Ellsworths and visible cracks.
hahah.

I was gonna say, I thought Ellsworth was a Mormon... then I noticed there was more than one girl.

Wouldn't ride that anyway, not a fan of sloppy rear ends with excessive play in them.

If the bikes had DW links then Ellsworth would be the coolest company on the planet and the chicks in the pics really hot. Guess it is all about the marketing..... ;)

Doubt any hype can quickly solve the bad PR Tony generated for the company. I like my ellsworth trailbike but I wouldnt buy their big bike.

are the bikes really that bad?

seriously.
Their trailbikes and am bikes are quite good. The bad rep comes from dare and joker models and ellsworth not respecting the warranty and Tony Ellsworth badmouthing the customers.

my buddy rides an EW Moment Mk3 and I have to say, its a sick ride, and the Moment has been a pretty-much trouble free model for EW

the Epiphany has also been solid, apart from an early batch of cracking rockers (they switched from magnesium alloy to marginally heavier, but tougher aluminium alloy), and has won awards in the UK bike mags in "trail bike" shoot outs

the Truth has been a prime choice for XC Racing / Endurance Racing for many years, I think the Truth is now on the Mk6 incarnation? a contendor is the Specialized Epic, and they had to put the brain shock on that to get it to pedal as well as the Truth ;)

Jack Reading has been doing great things on the current EW Dare

some of the older bikes did have problems (normally the chainstays) and EW did not take care of customers, which sucks

but recently, EW seems to be listening to their dealers and customers, and the co-ownership of EW by a new partner has certainly brought a fresh influence to the brand i.e. the new Momentum 4X frame, colours / graphics, taper head tubes, geometry revisions, etc.

i was more getting to the point that...i checked out the 2011 Ellsworth website and their bikes look exactly the same and are using the same weird rocker/seatstay thing that theyve had for like 6 years now. im sure there are changes there in geo or weight or this or that and different materials....but to the "untrained eye" (which im guessing most people are because....who really is on the edge of their seat to keep up and read about all the "new" technology Ellsworth is unleashing upon the MTB community) all they released at the 2011 InterBike were two super skanky looking girls - and to me....not the best PR job their guys.

anyways, you stay classy Ellsworth

If riding an Ellsworth made a 6 hour ride feel like a 5 min jaunt around the block, doubled the size of my weiner and made me poop solid gold nuggets I still wouldn't ride it. The sooner that crap company goes away the better, IMHO of course.

skanky chicks, with boy @$$es. not everyones taste, I guess just like the bikes.
Huh? And what makes it a boy's ______?

It isn't like she has that traditional white-chick pancake @$$. There is shape and body to it... Yeah, she is prob a skank herself, but there is nothing about her bottom that is wrong in any way.

great job at IB hiring two "working" ladies

their bikes might not have changed for the last 5+ or so years but at least they brought boy shorts to the event?

Those girls are sk@nky. Here are some better pictures of Interbike girls one of the guys from MTBR took (although kind of creepy in a sense)
I was expecting much more hotness.

Where do they get these girls (I'm ignorant)? Are they involved in the industry or do they just get paid to weigh down the chairs?

Edit: obviously some of them are paid for their "assets" but I'll venture a guess that others are just employees, right?

"Modeling"/Talent agencies and marketing firms, usually.

I haven't come across a single Elsworth bike, but reading the absolute mouth diarrhea that Tony Elsworth came out with comparing his TLA with everyone elses TLA's, I would need to be paid more money than he has to ride his ****e.

And yes she does have a boys arse.

meh, my buddy had a Dare that lasted through 2 people beating the piss out of it for 7+ years
Hey dude, before I moved to CA this summer I rode in June with Ken Takeuchi from back in the shop days...he thought it was pretty hilarious that the Dare was still alive in some form.
