Made a cajun-asian fusion shrimp and pasta dish in the wok for dinner last night. One of the kids had a friend over who doesn't like shrimp....she ate about 10.

Glad I'm not in the field today. The poor guy that is is going to be soaked, and he admitted to me that he doesn't have rain gear, and was unable to get some last night. All I have to do is go into the office for a short bit today.

Got another cord of wood dropped off this morning. Need to find a few pallets to start stacking things up.
Last night, I got most of the stumps cleared out of my compost heap area. I pounded the stakes into the ground, and got the first course of wood down for the walls. Now it's raining like a mofo. Hopefully things will clear up, or it's gonna be another tractor maintenance post on the blog this weekend.

Morning all. It's High School Open House night and we're supposed to get hammered with rain so I wouldn't be riding anyway. My band is shaping up pretty well so far this year so I am pretty happy. I just wish I wasn't "teaching" so many periods of Art! Heading to Ra-cha-cha for the weekend for some friendly festivities so I need to get my stuff together for that tonight before I head back to school to chat with my students parents. Fun, fun!

Because of my bum wrist and forced time off the bike, I changed my timing belt, water pump, thermostat, crank seal, cam seals, valve cover gaskets, crusty vacuum tubing, misc o-rings and a cv boot. You gotta love air tools.

About 18 months. He actually had a very good quality of life through the vast majority of it. He went downhill quickly just in the last few weeks. He will be missed.
Well that's a small silver lining at least. I'll knock one back for him tonight!

House was appraised yesterday and from what my real estate person said, everything went well. We are also officially approved for the home loan. We also had a quote made on refinishing the hardwood floors in the house. Hopefully with us removing all of our physical contingencies, we will be able to get into the house a little early so we can have the floors done before we move in.

My pops went from awesome in January to gone in February. I was blown away at how fast it was. A good quality of life is the best thing for anyone.

so we werent able to go to fallbrook today because of the weather but we idid fly locally. thunder and lightning over downtown san diego is crazy. the tower at montgomery field got knocked out with lightning for a minute too. it was a fun day of flying today
