Holy crap!!

I'm not sure whether you USA guys will think too much of that price, but here in Europe, especially where i am in Ireland bikes just are not that cheap, ever. The rest of their range is pretty damn impressive too.

I would say it was worth buying those bikes just for the parts, although i quite like the look of the frame.

Wow, for that price even if the frame only lasts a season its worth the coin. Between the components and the experience of going over there and having full support at the course with coaching its a pretty awesome deal I would say.

Thats an awesome deal considering the parts that are on that thing. Reminds me of what the 951 would look like if it had some weird a$$ FSR linkage. Geometry seems a LITTLE off though. Still wouldn't mind giving it a shot.

good'n'cheap, yeah.
DHDork: how's the geo off? have you ever ridden a demo and a sunday? both are far off each other, yet you could still win the WC on any of them.

Must be nice to not have to pay to use the patented FSR pivots. On a side note, how much longer is that patent good for? Camelbak's patent is long gone. The Aheadset patent just ran out. I remember Horst links on AMP bikes showing up right around the time both of those products came out.

For 2499€ you get a complete Morewood Izimu with Boxxers as well.

http://www.jehlebikes.de/morewood-izimu-dh-limited-2010.html

Particular the parts of the Izimu are not as good as the YT, but if you ask me in what frame to trust, I would go for the Izimu.
There are many trusted bikes that can be had for around that price. It depends on your priorities. Buying a bike and riding it for a year to swap the frame then isnt such a bad idea. If you dont like it you can swap it sooner and you end up with banging parts.
The only problem with selling these frames is the fact that there is your name on it ;)

Though I have to say Im also with the crowd that would take a good frames over good components.

name just one? :D
If you look around you can have the lower models of demo, lapierre, top end sunday (though not anymore probably), Orange 224, Giant Glory, Trek session (though a bit harder to get). Almost company that sells completes has a lower end model and you can find a deal on most of them. You just have to look around.

You would be REALLY lucky if you can get one of the bikes you listed for less than 3500€.

The YT deal is a gamble anyhow: They blow out 24 bikes for this special price, but only on 11th November and only one per hour. So, probably you get one, probably not.

The lower end models? Many of them are listed as under 3500 euro so how would I be lucky?

Bikestore cc has a giant faith 0 for 2200 euro and its msrp is 3500euro. Glory 1 is cheaper than faith 0. Lower model of summum and demo are both under 3500 euro here in poland so they should be in germany. Not to mention freeborn has now a wilson 3 09 on sale for 3300 euro. Not a problem at all.

I was commenting on the morewood more than on the YT itself. YT has great compoes and very untested frame. Also the glory 1 has really good components. Atlas cranks, 721 rims, boxxer team. I wouldnt call that crap. The dh-720 isnt bad either. Its not like those bikes are unrideable.

Though that is what the question is about - do you prefer kickass components or a prooven and well known frame? Im really hyped for that deal, thats why I made this topic. Im just respoding to the brigades argument that the morewood deal is really special.

PS. If you look around you can have better prices. Maybe not for the mentioned bikes but there are some quality known brands Ive seen for less.

Ya, I'm on a Demo now.
Don't get me wrong, a 14.3" BB is fine for some people, but mine is sitting right at that and I would wish for something a little lower. HA, TT and WB are all spot on though.
