We did that stuff all the time. When we did a launch for the episode of Warship my boat was on, the first one failed and we lost the tomahawk. The recovery flotation system couldn't support it because it splashed down before it jettisoned all the fuel.

Don't worry, we found it the next day. Never made the headlines, though.

got a link to a faux news article about this? I'd love to see some of the comments
Good call!

Have worked in the defense industry forthirty years I can tell you they know exactly where it was launched from and by whom. They have the redar tracks and the algorithms to reverse the track to the spot. They are now making up their fairy tales like the WMD that started the war. Hopefully it was not a accidental lauch by a sub with a Nuke on board. Maybe that is why its hush hush until they can find it.
How many is forthirty? We need moar REDARZ!

The policy for a lost or accidental missile launch of a nuclear weapon is to keep quiet,no information, nothing. The race to find it IS the most important thing in this world today. The russians are looking for it etc. think about that.
Oh shlt, now the russians are going to figger out howz ta make nooclearz!

For a missle going AWAY from the US?

What......they think hawaii is unprotected from south central?
They think that its some other country firing a missile near us to scare us, because Obama is a pushover and he is letting those people just do whatever they want.

No, I don't understand it either, that's just what they said. Basically a lot of "mumble mumble I hate Obama mumble mumble"
Keep in mind, I work with some very hardcore Christian/Republicans
