Sat. Dec. 4th 10am - 3pm test ride after and or Sun. the 5th
Josh and I have permission to do some work at Carter's Lake Downhill course in Ellijay Ga. Doin a little revamp changes. Looking to improve the trail flow a little better and improve the jump quality. We need a descent turnout to get it all knocked out so please come help if you can! We can probably get a few rides through the winter and dial in the changes. Then a Spring clean up/ride party and several weekend shuttle parties on a good new track!
thanks Chuck Pitts

But to be honest I thought Carter's lake was about as good as 1:30 minutes could get. It was awesome! But good luck and I hope to ride it again next year.

Yah, not too much you can do on the changes but, if you really get out there and walk it there are some sections that have room for improvement. There is a similar line we could cut at the top that would allow the first turn to avoid the 'tree-between' and totally take out the first steep climb before the descent into the hip jump.
worked on the section that has the gradual climb the other day and put a better berm at the entrance to pump and transfer momentum into the little grunt-up part and moved a couple rocks that were momentum killers, I put them in the drop afterwards so they are better used there.
Jumps are kind of beat so I would like to rebuild a little more my style. The rock garden could be improved by stacking some similar slzed rocks near the exit to create more of a bench or berm to keep you flowing back left. That was my eval from last Friday.

On the Novice trail I would like to see the rollers moved around slightly if there aren't stumps under them. Maybe just freshen it up a bit otherwise!

BYOB and BYOT- Bring your own tools.

I got a wheel barrow and a shovel or two, rake, maddock.

We may need the following:
small chainsaw
blower
maddock or super hoe for benching trail

It got better today. We had a good crew and made some good change. Gave the trail more flow.
The day was miserable w/ temps in the high30s and steady rain throughout the day but all in all a good day.
thanks to those who showed up and moved some dirt.

Thanks to all the MEN who showed up on Sat. in the rain and cold temps to Git Er Done!
Great improvements made and a couple more to work on next time. Still got some riding in the rain and the course was good.
Haha in perfect Waldeck fashion to show up to ride after the works done.
