Dang! They're not made anymore.

What else is out there?

Seems like there should be plenty. Just a stop watch with a nice big button and wraps around the bars.

Used that sportcount one all summer, exact same as the DMC just a different mounting style. used a little velcro on my bar and the backside of the unit and all was good.

There is something about that Pinkbike article that makes absolutely no sense to me. Photocell does what? Catches a physical passing of the wheel breaking the beam, then transmits the time to the watch? So a freelap with a more "definitive" start and end point to the run?

Also, the math sucks. How much total to get one person rolling?

DMC is the acronym for Diverse Manufacturing Company. Diverse used to distribute their own branded version of the stopwatch/lap counter mentioned above.:

...as you can see it is no longer listed in their product line. It used to sell from $49.99 USD but that was a few years ago. Current price for the equivalent from Sport Count called the "Velo-X" is $55.95 USD.

Check out ebay for the sportcount same price as the website but the shipping is way cheaper.
