The gang at work all chipped in and bought their boss (ME) beer for Christmas!

6 pack Boston Beer Works Fenway Pale Ale
6 pack Mad River Brewing Company Extra Pale Ale
6 pack Southern Tier Old Man Winter Ale
6 pack Mendocino White Hawk IPA
22 oz Arrogant Bastard
22 oz Rogue Santa's Private Reserve
22 oz Sebago Runabout Red Ale

Unfortunately I am not drinking any of it at the moment...just ice water.

Glad to see some of the mediocre breweries jumping on to the higher-priced special releases. Just in the last couple days I saw this and Red Hook's special release. Leinenkugel's has been doing a similar product as well, although I haven't been willing to cough up the $11/4-pack to try it out. More options for the consumer are ABSOLUTELY a good thing.

btw, how's the beer?
Which one? I've seen a bunch around here, but I'm in their neck of the woods...

The one's I've tried so far from their "Blue Line" (specialty, niche type stuff) are the Eislager, Eisbock, and the Big Ballard Imperial IPA...I think there are others...they just don't come to mind right now....

Edit: Currently enjoying SN Celebration.

Water... Oh my head hurts!
Last night at my fav bar they had 4 brews from Green Flash brewery on tap.
I got a bit carried away. :cheers::rolleyes:

While I was there I did a lil shopping for the holidays, sitting in my fridge waiting for Xmas day is a bottle of Rouge XS Imperial Indian Pale Ale. :thumb:

Yeah...I can only imagine the Kiwi mark-up for such an item. When I find it up here in the PNW it's right around 12.99-14.99 per 22...

Down in Newport at their brew-pub it was ~20 bucks for a growler (if memory serves...though after that it probably doesn't). Throughout the week I was there I bought 4.
$45NZD, somewhere around $32 of US monopoly money.

I need to get myself a (large) beer fridge with all the beer I have sitting around here....
I just added it all up and including my homebrew there's close to 100liters.

And once I get my beer importing business up and going it's gonna get real crazy!

Last night - Central Waters Satin Solstice Imperial Stout after ice skating with the wife.

Mmmmmmm, definitely Imperial Stout weather here in WI......
have you tried Oso Lupulus Maximus IIPA?
had one yesterday. it was a tasty brew. it sees a little bit of oak. supposedly there is a hop cone worth of hops in every bottle. For an imperial IPA it was easy drinkin'.

Nope, I've avoided O'so for some reason. Not sure why. Picked up another 6 of Satin Solstice, and had to reach over their 2010 (Dec) BBS to do so... SO tempting.

Do you think I got the liquids to solids ratio right?
(there's another 85 liters worth down in basement)

1 crate of Paulaner
1 bottle of Rouge XS IPA
1 bottle of Mikes organic Imperial IPA
1 glass carboy of Founders Organic tall blond
1 growler of Emersons rolling moon wheat
2 Tuatara APA
I have no idea how much home brew (IPA and Bock)
Still to be fitted in is 4 bottles of some of NZ's most expensive white wines......

:weee: Merry faaaaarkin crimblemaaas guys! :thumb:

*edit*
1 bottle of sparkling mead
3 bottles of Paulaner dunkel as well.......
