carbon cranks for DH? I know carbon is much stronger now, but smashing it against rocks can't be a good thing, right?

Can we get the full build? I'm not really for going super light but I'm interested.

Are the cranks Clavicula Carbon Dh cracks? Anyone know how they hold up?

Sam Hill used carbon cranks at the worlds, MBA called them Descender carbon, i betcha they're XO arms with a longer spindle. The XO arms aren't stupid light, and probably really strong. They are all mountain afterall:rofl:

I've been really geeking out on lightweight cranks for my trail bike.. I ended up with the new XTR Trail. According to the Internetz Race Face Sixc is "lighter than XTR and 30% stronger" I picked XTR (20g heavier) just because i like the spindle interface, but it looks like carbon cranks are making big leaps foreward.

Carbon cranks are expensive, and may look like crap after a few seasons but for elite level racers (or builds).... I wonder if Race Face or Sram will offer them in 83 anytime soon.

A bike came in with those the other day and one of the pieces of carbon was falling out. I was guessing for years they were just carbon stickers but it took 10 yrs for one to fall off. The sticker was real, 2mm thick carbon fiber though!

Whats the conversion for the buy it now... Im too lazy to google and think...
Today 5500 euro = $6781,51 USD according to todays currency, keep in mind the starting price to bid is 5500 so it can go up if people place their bids on this bike

crazy thing is they could make it even lighter. Raw frame and links, carbon bars, Vivid Air, lighter stem.
Yes with those upgrades it will deffinitly drop under 30lbs

Talk about going on a diet!

From 61 to 31
I rode Benders bike when Chris had if for some reason and that thing was a Tank. You could not get that fork off the ground.
But it was cool in person it had twin top tubes.
But his breaks sucked a$$.

I just noticed it has the Kit carbonio saddle, I have one of those on my new 29er, I would how long it is going to last.

Definitely interesting that in making an ultralight build they didn't spec a vivid air.

Slap some gustavs on bender's bike and it completes the old school freehuck beast package.
