Ok so I've decided it's time to sell my 2005 CRF 250R and get something different. Right now I'm looking at an older CR 250 or a KTM 250SX...really want a two stroke for some reason.

Anyways...how can I figure out how much my bike is worth? It's not running this minute but will be by the end of the week. It only has about 15hrs since I've had the top end rebuilt and a Cosworth piston was put in as well as better valves. Also all my suspension was just rebuilt (just factory rebuild), got new brake pads, and grips. The bike also has radiator braces and guards as well. Other then that stuff, it's mostly stock...

So, anyone on here have an idea of about how much I should ask for the thing? I paid $2,000 for it almost 4 years ago...yes, it was a steel since the bike only had 5hrs on it since it was new!

Just look around on ebay, thumpertalk (if they have classifieds ? ), craigslist and whatnot to see what they generally sell for. Should be able to get what money you have in it back out of it at least.

Looking for probably an '02 since that's the last year I could get a green sticker one.
Take a look at the 00-01's also. They have a better motor and are slightly more stable at speed and in the rough. The 02's are good bikes too but, they have odd motors and can be a pain to jet. Either way you will be happy compared to your current bike. The 02 would probably feel more like your CRF.
