My next greatest worst idea ever: a hot tub

As of late I have really been wishing I had a hot tub. Between rugby, biking, and falling down stairs, my body is wanting one too.

But there's a catch to this desire: I live in a 2 bedroom apartment.

Right now the second bedroom is basically a holding center for all of my crap. Work just gave me a storage unit for files, evidence, so on and so forth with the explicit blessing of "if you need to throw your bikes or boards in here, go nuts. I'm the only person with a key, and they paid the rent for a year.

But still, I live in an apartment. A crappy apartment with no hot tub.

Any owners out there want to talk me into or out of this idea? I've found a few used here in Phoenix that would run off an indoor plug, so in theory I could just clean out that room, fill it up with a garden hose, and Bob's my uncle.

Its a slab, so the living room has a 250 gallon aquarium in it no worries.

Get the pool instead. We would deny knowing you if were found dead floating in an indoor hot tub. However the indoor pool is cool enough that when Fox news interviews us after you die we can proudly say we suggested it based on careful review and we'll look all impressive and stuff... Can one of the Police chases end with you having a standoff in your indoor pool? Picture this! Tactical comes busting in and you're relaxing in it with an umbrella drink in hand. Now thats good press!

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
We have a hot tub and LOVE it. Ours is outside on the deck overlooking the backyard. (sorry no pics here at work) There is a roof over it so no now comes crashing down on my while I am relaxing :) I personally wouldn't put it inside (I'd worry about mold from the steam), but to each their own.

I once had a roommate who wanted to construct a hot tub out of old kegs and a campfire. I think you should go that route to save money.

So Phoenix isn't hot enough for you?

I'm a tiny bit disappointed actually. This thread should have really been started with a photo of a hot tub in a room titled "How do you guys think this will work out"

E-how says I can pull it off!

Its an apartment. A ****ty one at that. Do I really care if there's some mold in the walls when I get out of here? I'll put fan in to pump air out, I think it'll be fine. Now to find one that works on 110.

Best thing I have in my flat. I only wish I had the never model. Great after a hard day. If you can afford it get some kind of a massage system to it. Just be sure to check if the room is ventilated properly. Some artificial system would be usefull. Otherwise as mentioned - mold may happen.

Not mine because I dont **** cash for that kind of floor and while but basicly the same model:

Stayed at a B&B with a wood fire heated hot tub. It was hot, didn't have the swirly bubbles. Not sure how you could create that effect "green style".

Photoshop probably. That plus probably they shot the model with internal lighting(ie like in underwater). They try to push it to you for some crazy reason.
