Ok, here goes- I was going to try and do the genre thing, but i'm not that varied in my musical taste. They all go back to some sort of rock. These are albums that are each amazing in their own way, but I think the concept of an album that everyone should own is difficult. I'm not really sure it even makes sense-

Ok, enough rambling- I think each of these albums are great for my own reasons. I'm not going to convince anyone, and when I look at the list, I don't think it's there to impress people, but it's the truth for me.

Probot- I like that one a lot! Gotta love the Clutch, too!

nice picks...that Unwound is my favorite (aside from their swan song) and i love DLJ too.

and that Oldham record is usually ignored among his records, but it's great.

oh, and Moss Icon!

i've got a couple of their 7"s...great stuff.

I guess you can tell what era of hardcore I grew up listening to.

I cant believe myself or no one else posted this but...Neither of these albums will steer you in the wrong direction.

we started out w/ good intentions...

this is ridemonkey, where threads go sideways quickly.
Hey, we're at 5 pages and are at least still talking about music. The fact that this thread hasn't devolved into a flame war or gone entirely off topic is a miracle.

Also, you guys need to stop recommending the wrong Clutch albums.

Hard to go wrong with Clutch- I've been into the earlier stuff like Pitchfork lately, but i think this one is best:

I have to change all of my previous posts. I forgot about one CD. You can forget about the rest, if we have to pick one, it's this:

Alpha's ComeFromHeaven.

I love this CD more than any other in my collection. I have most of their music, and nothing was ever quite as good. Shortly after producing it, 50% of the team left the band and it's sounded sloppier and sloppier...but this one cd is nigh on perfect.
