and throwing a TT on it w/ 555hp doesnt make it any better
Is there any car in that class that isn't more fail than the flaming ferrari? Q7 looks like a real life turd, cayenne also. Who buys those things? I though blind people are not allowed to drive outside of top gear test track.

the Q7 doesnt seem proportional to how long it is, especially compared to the Q3.
the Range Rover is awesome looking and the G-wagen is 40 years old yet still looks good IMO. those are probably the only two super SUV's id buy if i had $80k+

I mean, the whole class of sports SUVs pretty much a fail by definition. They're too tall and heavy and huge to handle that well, they're trying too hard to be road cars to work off road, they get absolutely terrible mileage, and except for maybe the Range Rover they're all really ugly. Physics doesn't dictate that last part though.

I agree that the Range Rover looks OK, though I don't like the G wagon. There's still no way I'd buy anything along those lines even if I had the money though. If I wanted something ballistic that could carry some stuff I'd be looking at an RS4 Avant.

the RS4 avant is indeed hot sh!t, but its hard to compare a super wagon to a giant SUV with a giant engine in it (S/C Range Rover and G55). the G-wagon is pretty ugly, but it kinda grows on you.
$100k+ is hard to swallow for a SUV, but im thinking if i had $100k to spend on a SUV, then that wouldnt be that big of a deal

I didn't say they were comparable. I said I think all the super SUVs are fvcking retarded, so I'd buy something else entirely with that money.

That segment of Top Gear on the X6 was awesome. Damn thing couldn't make it up a slight grassy incline or the snowy road to the ski lodge. Its too much like a car to be a good SUV and it's too much like an SUV to be a good car.

Back to things that fail...

^^^^ I have about 30 customers a month that would disagree with you.
Yeah, there are an astonishing number of people that like those things. I think they're harder to get in and out of than clipless, and don't do their job as well, but there are a lot of people that are horrified at the idea of being clipped in.

Or just want to be in normal comfortable shoes the moment they hop off the bike.

That's a valid point in favor of toe clips. My claim that a lot of people are (IMO irrationally) afraid of clipless isn't me making stuff up. I worked in a shop for 5 years and got told that a lot.

I agree but the G-Wagen and Range Rover were long before the SUV mania started and they have offroad heritage while all the other don't. I also kinda liked the old Tuareg but only it's looks. All of them all pointless anyway.

RS4 is nice but is kinda smallish. RS6 more like it. I also like that Aussy Holden UTE VXR. Didn't it have a v8? I'm only a bit worried about weight distribution. Though hell at my age I'm far away from any of those cars. Only real thing with this much power I tried was a 90s Escort Cosworth.

Also now it's quite trendy among the fixie pixie crowd.
