The Distortion looks really cool. 12"BB 67 HA, Long top tube, 140mm front, 112mm rear. Wow someone there must be doing there homework, I want.

Distortion looks like a bullseye to me, looking forward to seeing more info on it. Concerned about seat tube length.. it looks short and I have dancers legs from a 7ft tall stripper even though I'm barely 5'10".

Frame only, mmmm

12" is entirely too low in my opinion, but hey, its subjective to location I suppose. Aside from the super short seat tube and low standover, thats a fine looking bike that will fit the bill for alot of people! Looking good :)

The distortion looks like a rad little freeride bike. The geo is amazing 66.5HA? yes please. Also it has a 13.78BB not sure where you guys came up with 12.

I like what I see, I think if companies start designing bikes with correct geo we wont need as much suspension. what do you think?

With the correct geometry and right suspension tuning a 6" travel bike can go a long way. I hope we see more of this to come, I mean BMXer's are going big without any suspension. Use what god gave you, your knees and elbows.

IMO, if the BB is 13.78 tall, it's up there for this amount of travel... If I'm rockin' a 5 inch bike, I like it half an inch lower.

With an angleset, my new Trance will be very similar to this bike. (150mm fork, around 67.5 HA with 13.375 BB.)

So, similar means different HA, different BB height, different suspension kinematics.

Not very similar IMO.

GT no longer has a "distributor" in Canada and is direct to dealers thru Cycling Sports Group Canada. This happened back around the time of BTAC show. IBDs can contact their Cannondale rep for more details or call N American dealer support for info.

a 12 inch bb would kick ass. My dh bike has a 13.1 inch bb with 8.5 inches of travel, so a 4.5 inch travel bike with a 12" bb would slay...although it may not cater to the "general" all mountain crowd and sell that many bikes.

Also Todd, on the GT site when you choose USA (so I can see the bikes) it gives me a strange flag.

Also Todd, GT looks awesome. Not sure if you had much to do with it, but man, is that lineup ever tight.

Distortion does look rad.... except the whole idrive setup still feels weird to me.

As far as the fury's shock... pretty sure the dhx air has been out for a while?

I'm in Twn right now and also having some sorta problem accessing certain regional sites. I'll fwd the note to the mktg/IT folks to check out.

I did product management on the 2011 MTB, so yep those are my babies :) Many thanks.

Have you ridden the newer generation bikes? Also, the GT ID vs the Mongoose Freedrive have a noticeably different "feel". If you've ridden the Mongoose versions then your views might be a bit distorted (pun intended...)

That could be it. I've only ever ridden the older version of the idrive on a gt and a newer mongoose.
