All those bikes are top notch DH bikes. The geometry is different among them, but the best will depend on your preference and the type of riding you do and the terrain where you live.

Jedi: Good bike for super gnarly/rocky terrain, excellent plowing action.
Summum: Good if you race world cups (steep and fast) - slack and low.
Giant: Good for all around DH - not as slack.

I do not buy into the slacker is always better argument. 64 is a good number, but I've ridden 65 and it felt great in not-so-steep terrain. I don't see myself going to 62 anytime soon.

you could call the european canfield distributor, who is actually located in germany. nice guys, and helpful.
it doesn´t sound as if your buddy knows what he´s looking for.
if he is a beginner/intermediate rider i would reaaallllly reconsider his bike choice, there are a lot of deals to be had with some patience, and its end of the season anyway...

@demo9 - did it ever occur to you that spending that much money on bikes is obscene?

I'd go for the Summon. Only because you can adjust the HA from a 65-62 If I remember correctly, and also you can adjust the wheelbase. HOWEVER suspension design I think is overall more important than the Geometry.

So choose your style of preference before you go after Geometry i'd say.

If it's for someone new to DH I'd recommend the giant, also I dare say spares are easier to come across

umm what?!?!?! If you don't like bikes then GTFO! If I could have 20 bikes, I would buy 20 fvcking bikes. But the other side to this story is that maybe you need to mind your own business.

I would say the glory or the jedi (and my vote is jedi) I feel the mondraker is a little more "race" orientated than the average rider would want or even need. You may be able to max out the adjustments to make it similar to a normal bike, or you could start from there, and than fine tune it. I wouldnt choose the mondraker if it was me.

Guys - the ha on the mondraker is adjustable BOTH ways. So stop whining about the 63 ha. It can go up to 65. Its a nice bike and I like the 2011 yellow. Even though the local kids will probably make me hate it soon if they wont shut up about it.

Though 2011 Jedi seems really sweet. Geo is right in between too slack and to steep (at least for me). 3 travel settings and canfield has great CS if anything ever happens.

Though as always Id recomend the Legend. 2011 Color(way)s are great ;)

2d - loong trace with small and big rock which have 10 loong route

Friend telling me what best geo - jedi f1 and demo8 2011 for our area )))

2Norbar why legend? may be better demo8 11?)) That you think?))

Last time I told - in our district few bikes, there is no possibility to test((

They answered in email. With my country work this http://www.canfieldbrothers.de/

On monkey I many hear about legend. О It so is good?
Great suspension, super low cog for that downhill finnicky turning and it is DURABLE. It would be hard to convince me to sell my legend. Im a bike whore and its the first time I dont want to change after a season.

It is my professional e-pinion, having never ridden any of these bikes, that the Jedi is clearly superior. The number of fanbois in this thread alone shows how awesome the ride is.

The Giant has been proven to be too steep and the Mondraker is all euro so those were ruled out from the beginning any way.
