Is down to three DH races. And no 4x, not even the "National Champs" at Bromont. At least the three are all UCI C2 races. Going the way of NORBA, I guess :(

2011 Canada Cup DHI / 4X Schedule

May 22, 2011 Mont Tremblant DHI Canada Cup #1
June 26, 2011 Bromont DHI Canada Cup #2
July 31, 2011 Panorama DHI Canada Cup #3

There are 5 xc races on the schedule all UCI C1:(:(:(

The DH Quebec Cup looks like this:
May 21/22 - Q-Cup/C-Cup - Mont Tremblant
June 18/19 - Q-Cup - Mont Sainte Anne
June 25/26 - Q-Cup/C-Cup - Bromont
August 13/14 - Q-Cup/Quebec Champs - location to be confirmed
September 3/4/5 - Q-Cup - location to be confirmed

To be truthful, the 4x champs weren't announced until later during the year so I wouldn't dispair... But it could be very well be true...

Check the date of the DHI race at Bromont, I doubt they'd do it that early.
Yeah didn't pay attention to the dates... Pretty sad to see that. I hope they pull things around. All and all, last years 4x champs were a ball and it was a fun race with a somewhat decent crowd and about 35-40 participants.

BUT, it was held in conjoncture with the DH Canada Cup...

If one was to race at the Canadian cups from the States, do we just need our USA Cycling license?
a pro license will cover you, other than that no, I believe you you will need a one day canadian license (i think that such a thing exists). VDH has more experience with this and will be able to confirm

You can buy a 1 day or 2 day license ( if you don't have a pro uci ) and race the Canadian equivalent of cat whatever.
I went up in 2007 to Bromont, just to ride and ended up registering and racing. It was a lot of fun and maybe $50 with the 2day license. Everyone screamed at you in french during your run and I screamed back at them in spanglish.

like above said an elite pro lic or a Cat1-3 international lic or race day lic. race day was about 15 bucks. A word of warning if you must register onsite you have to register by Friday and it costs about 20-30 bucks more than online. I think it cost me 85 on site last season while Rich (the smart guy) prereg for about 50.

The bromont course was the WC course for the past few years. EPIC

A bigger fail is that the Nat Champs are on the same weeekend as the Canadian Open - a much better supported race with the promotion of Crankwox and WBP behind it.
